Fuente Techada is a lovely place to spend a relaxing time away from the noise and stress of the city. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean, with the added bonus a huge terrace from which we could enjoy the night sky. The breakfasts were incredibly delicious as were the home made cakes. Outside we spent time reading in the shade of garden accompanied by songs of the many wild birds which visit. There is also a nice pool and from the water or sun lounger, we could contemplate the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. We also made use of the hotel bikes to cycle around the surrounding area. The Finca itself is a great place but what makes it really stand out is the people. Alejandro, the owner, was friendly, knowledgable and charming and his team was always professional, kind and helpful. We felt at home as soon as we checked in and thoroughly enjoyed our stay…
We stayed in the hotel for three nights to visit the sights outside Madrid. This rural hotel is tastefully decorated and is warm and inviting as are its hosts Christina and Alejandro. Our room was upstairs was nicely, though simply, furnished with ample natural light, and a good sized bathroom with a large shower. I wasn't feeling well one night and our hosts put together dinner for us on short notice, even though they normally would like 12 hours. The breakfasts are delicious, with fresh fruit and eggs from the farm's chickens. It felt like we were guests at a home, rather than at a hotel. My favorite place to stay during our 3 week visit to Spain.
Alejandro and Cristina couldn't have been better. This was our first night in Spain, having arrived that morning at Madrid. Alejandro greeted us and understanding we were wrung out from our flight, let us retire for a good siesta. When we awoke we revived ourselves from the self serve bar in the living room, then Alejandro generously gave of his time to suggest how to take in Segovia that evening. It was perfect. The breakfast the following morning was overwhelming. Beautiful, fresh and bountiful. We were really reluctant to go.
We had a 3 night stay and were most impressed in every. The setting is beautiful. The service is most attentive and helpful. The staff is always there for you and they say we are happy to help Highly recommend it
We stayed for two nights in March when it was very cold outside - below zero and snow! Inside, however, the rooms were well-heated and log fires created the perfect atmosphere in the lounge with walls of books to read from and a well-stocked honesty bar. The physical warmth side was matched by the care of Alejandro, the host and owner, along with his wife Christina. Alejandro gave us excellent tips for Segovia. While the Finca does not provide full-scale meals, the salads, soup, cheese and not least guacamole which are available are good. This place must be idyllic in summer, but I can also recommend it in winter.
