Recently stayed here for two nights with our group of 16. What a great little gem! Apparently this place has been in the family for something like 200 years. Ruben and his wife Christine were lovely! From what I saw, the hotel has several floors of rooms with shared washrooms and sitting areas/kitchenettes. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a great view of the river and surrounding mountains. There is a patio overlooking the river outside where we sat to enjoy the sunshine and drinks. I will review the restaurant in a separate review specific to the restaurant section of this "casa", but it was good and plentiful. There was WiFi at the hotel but it didn't seem to be available all of the time. I can't knock the hotel for this since I didn't complain about it. This was a great location for touring the area and hiking up the Camino to Tella. Overall, a lovely place in a beautiful area with amazing host and hostess. I would recommend.

During a weeks walking trip in Aragon we were booked into Casa Ruben for two nights. We arrived after a hard 23km hike in the mountains and received a great welcome from Ruben and Christianne. Dos cerveza por favor came in handy. They proved to be fantastic hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Christianne speaks English and is learning French. The room we had overlooked the bar area and was more than adequate. The shower was fantastic with loads of hot water and excelent pressure. we were half board and the food was very good. Being a vegetarian can sometimes be a challenge in this area but Ruben asked what I liked and then used his skills to prepare the best food I had whilst in Aragon and most of that was good. There is ample parking and it is a great location to walk from or toting the area. So, the room was good, the showers, great the food excellent but the hosts were an absolute pleasure.

We found this little gem on the Camino de Santiago, near Tella. Rooms are equipped with kitchenette, spacious and bright. Nice size bathroom, even if the shower is a bit on the small side. Right on the Camino. Great starting point to hike to Tella itself, a 4K hike (medium to difficult). Friendly owners (Ruben and his wife Christina). Some English. Good breakfast and sandwiches to go. Wifi and ample parking. Overlooking the river. And then the food started coming. Ruben has mastered gourmet cooking and it showed in both the presentation and the quality of the food. Black pudding balls, great salad, mushrooms in a pancake wrap, foie gras with caramelized apples, good lamb. We also had paella (one with meat and the other one with seafood). Rice was not dry at all and was good value for price. Decent house wine (about 6euro), even if the red wine was too cold. Attentive service. Rice pudding and flan were also very good, though too cold as well. Make it your destination, as it is not near any major landmarks.

We spent two nights at the Casa Ruben in June, 2015. Had a great apartment-style room overlooking the river. The food in the "cave" styled restaurant was home cooked and absolutely delicious. Hiking in the nearby hills was an adventure not to be missed. And the host could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. Highly recommended!

It has a good location to explore some parts of the Spanish Pyrenees, and even make some inroads to France. The apartment was huge, overlooking eight people. The location is quiet and is next to a river. The kitchen is large.
