If you want to visit Horton Plains national park (you should!!) this place is fantastic. Much closer to the national park (20-30 minute by tuktuk) as compared to more crowded Nuwara Eliya. Wonderful staff, great food, fantastic views. No WIFI connection or nightlife or supermarkets even so nice to get away from it all :-).

We loved our stay at the Hill Safari. Even to get there is already an adventure in itself but it is so worth it. The owner and all the staff members are super friendly and you could easily stay there a week if you are into hiking and want to get a rest from the busy city life. Unfortunately we...

It is a difficult place to reach as it is so high up and the final stretch of road is bad. But the view when you arrive makes it all worth while. Feel like you are on top of the world. Great location to reach world end. Only 20 mins drive away. Also the staff and free meals are great....

My husband and I came with my cousin on a trip to Horton Plains and spent two nights at Hill Safari. Easy to get a trishaw from the train station to the lodge, half of the road is cemented and the other half rocky around those sharp bends! We stayed in the main lodge and the rooms were comfortable with...

The view from the room overlooking the hills was beautiful and it changed every moment. From misty to cloudy to clear sky. The sound of the continuous trickle of water from the near by rivulet adds to the ambiance. If you like to enjoy scenic views, want to relax in an out of the way place and walk among the...

We spent three weeks in SL and stayed here due to its proximity to Horton plains NP. We stayed in the upstairs newer room and our 9 & 11 year old girls stayed downstairs. Both rooms have amazing views over the countryside being high up on the hill. They were really clean and the best beds we had in SL...

Hill Safari in Ohiya is an excellent alternative starting point for your trip to Horton Plains. You can reach it fairly easy by train and then tuktuk. The last bit of the road is very steep, but tuktuks can do almost anything ;) They sent us very detailed instructions about the train hours and stop, which we very much appreciated....

Located a few of kilometers off the Ohiya railway station Hill Safari Eco Lodge sits amidst many misty hills. The views from around the hotel are absolutely stunning and if the sky is clear you could even see up to the Dondra point on the south coast. But unless you have a 4WD or a vehicle with good clearance you...

Nice hotel very nearby horton's plains and ideally for visiting world's end early in the morning; one big drawback : the last road to get there (our driver managed but few will be able to deliver). It is a steep rocky 1km private road to get there. Food is excellent and staff is very nice and all of them speak...
