Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very welcoming, comfortable house. There was easy access to the rooms, and ours had a nice spacious bathroom. Ed made great recommendations for dinner spots and Liz served a great breakfast. One tip: if using google maps, maybe reach out for the EiCode.

Thank you so much , we are so delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. I agree the Eircode is handy to have and brings you right to the spot. I will look into putting the Eircode up on goggle maps if it is possible . We are easy to find as we are also well signposted but if travelling at night in the dark it is so helpful to use the Sat Nav and put in the Eircode . It will bring you right to our door. Delighted you also enjoyed your meal in the Restaurant Ed recommended . We are so lucky here as we are only 10 mins by car into Kildare Town where they have a few excellent Restaurants. We hope that maybe you will get the opportunity to come to Ireland again and if you do , be sure to Look us up , we would be delighted to have you stay with us again. Thank you.

Very comfortable, spotlessly clean room with all amenities supplied. Elizabeth gave us a warm welcome and gave us lots of tips of where to dine and visit the next day. The breakfast was delicious and lots of options are available. The location was quiet.

Elizabeth and Ned were great hosts. We arrived very late on a Thursday night and Ed was very welcoming and accommodating even at that time! Very friendly owners. The breakfast was beautiful. The first morning we had a full Irish breakfast and the following morning we had home made porridge with honey and we had the option of natural yoghurt with fruit. On our last day we informed Elizabeth that we would be getting up late and she very kindly left out some cereal and toast for us. The rooms were absolutely spotless and the bed was super comfy in fact more comfortable than my bed at home! Thank you to Elizabeth and Edward for making our stay so enjoyable.

Great B&B with lovely breakfast. Very helpful couple and very comfortable accommodation. We would certainly use again if we were travelling that way. The dawn chorus is fantastic if you get up early enough to listen to it

Castleview farm and B & B was quiet and quaint. When traveling from Dublin, we saw a sign that led us to a cozy wonderful home next to ruins of an ancient church. Instantly, we fell in love with the countryside and the town of Kildare. The proprietor Liz and her husband were very warm and friendly. They made us feel at home. In addition, the breakfast was great. After traveling throughout the country, we returned to this B & B for another two nights. This B & B was a fantastic experience.

Castleview is nice BnB in a great location close to Kildare which is a nice town 5 minutes away. Next door there was ruins of an old church which was neat to see. The room was ok but having to wall across the common hallway to the bathroom was unexpected when we reserved a room with an ensuite. The room was clean enough but I had to remove several spiders and webs from the ceiling before going to bed. The bed was comfortable but pillows were not. Breakfast was fine, typical Irish breakfast. All and all a good BnB but by far not the nicest during our visit to Ireland.

Thank you for your review, yes indeed we are very well located close to Kildare town and all the amenities . We are a working dairy farm which you can experience while you stay with us and thank you for pointing out that we are located closeby an historical ruins which my guests can explore. I have the history of these ruins which is very interesting available for my guests to read. It seems you were in the Oisin room which has quite a large bathroom with power shower and bathtub. The bathroom is located opposite the bedroom, the room is not ensuite. I am very sorry if you reserved an ensuite room I obviously was not aware of that or I would have put you in an ensuite room. We at Castleview Farm pride ourselves in the cleanliness of our rooms and we are very happy to say we have a good reputation in this regard over the many years we have been running our Bed and Breakfast. I thank you for recognizing that the room was clean unfortunately September is the time of year if the window is left open spiders may come in. I certainly will recommend in future that the windows are closed earlier in the evening in the Autumn time. I am happy to hear that you found the bed comfortable and the breakfast fine. The typical Irish Breakfast was your choice, I also offer smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and Continental breakfast with fruit, grapefruit , yogurt , choice of cereals including a nice granola , muesli , Weetabix, cornflakes, bran flakes. Porridge is also available . French Toast, Traditional Irish homemade brown bread, etc .I aim to please and cater as best I can for guests specific diets when they let me know in advance. . I am sure for some we are a good BnB and other regard us as a great BnB . Thank you for regarding us as a good BnB . We always aim to please our guests and do our best as we have done for the past 26 years.
