Retirement age executive couple search for places to feel at home. What a find. Delightful breakfast on the deck overlooking a small bay, living room with good classical music, library full of interesting books, and Brad and David's hospitality. It made staying in this historic locale wonderful. What a start to three weeks in this charming land.

Just perfect! From the moment we arrived until we left everything was just perfect. David and Brad are both excellent hosts and really make sure everything is perfect. Excellent breakfasts whilst overlooking an amazing view, conversations with excellent hosts and then returning to beautiful rooms in the evening....what else could anyone ask for!

Brad and David were the perfect hosts and were incredibly helpful with recommendations on what to do in the local area. Acadia Lodge is immaculate and the breakfasts are real treat. Sitting on the balcony in the afternoon overlooking the water with a bottle of wine was so relaxing. Love this B&B and will definitely be back.

Our stay at Arcadia was exceptional. We were given a warm welcome, the accomodation is superb and the breakfasts delightful. It is without doubt the best B & B we have stayed in in NZ and when we return for our next visit we will definitely stay there again.

Arcadia was a wonderful guest house. David and Brad were extremely welcoming and made a superb breakfast. The accommodation was very comfortable and stylishly decorated. I can't imagine there's a nicer place to stay in Russell.

David and Brad, your hosts, did a marvelous job in renovating one of the near original houses in Russell, aka "Hell Hole of the Pacific". You'll have to go there to find out why it was named that. The property with its beautiful gardens sits on a hill side overlooking the gorgeous bay with its many anchored sail boats. The...

On arrival in Auckland after 24 hours travel from UK we went straight to Arcadia. We were very courteously welcomed. The room was great, with a great view. The bed was just right to get a good night's sleep. David and Brad were very helpful in their advice. It was great place to get over jet lag and settle into...

Four of us stayed at Arcadia Lodge at the beginning of our New Zealand wanderings. It was the best b&b we found: stylish but homely; comfortable without faux boutique luxury; hosts who were friendly and helpful but never intrusive. We won’t forget the views over the Bay of Islands or the very original breakfasts taken in warm sun on the...

We had one night after a long cruise to stay somewhere on our own and experience what we could of the Bay of Islands. After long deliberation we settled on Arcadia Lodge and are so glad we did. David and Brad couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. The house is lovely and very well located to get about the...
