I spent. 5 days ar Arcadia Lodge at the start of my NZ holiday. It really set the standard as a high class B&B with exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms. Mine had a terrace and overlooked the bay. The house and garden were very stylish and immaculate. Brad's breakfasts were truly delicious and varied daily. An excellent location being only...

David and Brad are magnificent hosts, and the Arcadia Lodge is a charming old inn in absolutely beautiful and peaceful little town of Russell. We could have happily sunk in for two weeks of walking, puttering, reading and exploring the Bay of Islands. Very happy to have found this spot and would gladly return.

After having stayed here some years ago, we returned for 4 nights in January 2017. This time, we stayed in Tautoru Suite, which is a really tastefully furnished and elegant room with a beautiful private terrace and wonderful views to the native garden and Matauwhi Bay. Since the suite has a separate entrance you experience a lot of privacy and...

We couldn't have started our holiday in more style - the property is stunning, in a very picturesque spot overlooking the harbour. David and Brad were attentive and friendly hosts, cooking us the most delicious of breakfasts which we...

We almost didn't travel to Russell, in the Bay of Islands. We had planned for our North Island road tour to stop at Auckland. Luckily friends in the know said 'you have to go to the Bay of Islands'. What an unexpected delight. Russell was once known as the hellhole of the Pacific, when in the early half of the...

This is an outstanding B&B in Russell, run perfectly with great attention to detail. There is a lovely terrace for breakfast overlooking a harbour area. The food was excellent. The owners were most helpful and informative and made all the guests so welcome, making introductions all round as necessary. Our room on the ground floor was first class - very...

This is our first bed and breakfast we had stayed in and we loved it. The overall feeling of the place was very relaxing. The hosts were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning on the deck overlooking the water. The Internet service wasn't the greatest, but we were able to connect. I loved how you...
