Stayed for two nights and ate In restaurant one evening. Room well appointed and comfortable if a little small. Good experience overall. Breakfast included. Great waterfront location. Recommend the local hikes and hole in rock boat trip.

Roll off the ferry and head to the Duke of M. Great food on the deck overlooking the water. Good service and great location. So good we went there twice! Very quaint pub ... would be great in the winter too.

My husband and I stayed in a Waterview room for a night on our anniversary and it was a wonderful stay. Fabulous room, view, food and pleasant service. The food was the stand out...the duke platter for two (which could feed 3) was the best I've had..a meat lovers delight. Dinner was awesome...book your table as it's busy. The food...

Although the staff were excellent and very helpful, we were a little disappointed in our stay. The standard room was very small and the en suite shower even smaller, although the website pictures viewed last August when we booked gave the impression of spaciousness. Also the general decor is in need of some TLC especially the back staircase leading to...

Eager to take your order! Party of five...... Everything overpriced! All had entrees and mains, food ok. Whoever the woman in charge of service was...... Was rubbish! Took fifteen minutes to get a glass of water! Strange the overpriced wine didn't take so long!

We were staying at Paihi but told about this hotel by the place were we staying at. We Dropped in from hole in the rock cruise to have lunch. Had 1/2 dozen oysters and the tasting plate. The waitress was amazing and indicated all the things on the tasting plus to us - there were quite a few different tastings...

I was part of a large convention group that was lucky enough to have lunch at this lovely venue. It has been beautifully maintained with its original features. On arrival we each had to select our choices from a set menu. With such a large group we expected to wait quite a while but we were impressed at how quickly...

An old and historic building, ideally located - especially for dining. Upside is an atmospheric and attractive hotel. Downside is rather old fashioned and basic rooms. Service excellent and food and beverage first rate (although breakfast could be better). Russell is a quiet but convenient location for day trips away. The small town has much at recommend it too, with...

Had lunch here two day's ago and returned this evening for dinner. Great food, sensible portions and well priced. Friendly cosmopolitan staff, who advised well on the wine. Strongly recommend the chocolate dessert. Will return.

This Hotel is in the most beautiful location. Right on The Strand and very close to the boat jetty. We were delighted with the room, the staff and the food. We took the Bay of Islands Cream Trip from here and only had to stroll across the street to board our boat. There are lots of shops and restaurants in...
