The room was clean with reasonably good facilities - modern shower and bathroom were very nice. However, the staff were somewhat disengaged and they keep a small noisy dog that was not under control - it ran out towards one of us (guests). This could have been quite scary for someone not comfortable with dogs, so is probably not a...

I am very sorry for someone like you that is not accustomed to pets which reflects only on you as an individual and not the general public. In most countries which you are familiar with, see them dogs as food, where we don't. The incidence in which you encountered she was welcoming you instead of intimidating you. All my guests...

Spent a happy 3 nights in a studio suite here (it's worth noting the accommodation at this spot caters for everyone from backpackers dorms through to private apartments). Very central, parking space off road, comfy bed and well equipped kitchen and immaculate bathroom. Very pleasant. You do hear some noise from the neighbouring pub but that didn't trouble us.

We stayed at Seaport for two nights over Christmas and the host Baden went above and beyond to help us. First, it was Christmas Eve and every restaurant in Russell shut down for the holiday so Baden prepared a Christmas feast which he invited us to. It was delicious and so wonderful of him. Then, when we forgot something at...

Had a wonderful time at the Seaport Village. With my husband and friends. The apartment is huge, fully equipped with everything you need and the location is awesome. There is a balcony to sit out on to have a wine and watch the world go by. Being walking distance to the shops and beautiful beaches is fantastic. Baden is so welcoming and...

Russell is an expensive town, but I thought the charges here were too high for what we got. On the plus side, we were close to seafront and the receptionist was charming. However the accommodation was cramped and dated. We also backed on to the pub car park, which turned into party city at midnight every evening. Shrieking people, revving...

I am sorry you had a bad experience and to top it off with the noise and brawl from the pub. My apologies this does not happen often but we are looking into doing something about it.

We arrived at 1pm but had to wait until 1:15 for someone to turn up to check us in. Despite giving our credit card on booking and being told it would be charged immediately, the owner then told us "Nah I haven't taken payment, you have to pay now". We then had to quickly move money around as we assumed...

I am very sorry but I cant accept your critics because it is lame....I go out of my way to accommodate you and that's all you can say. You arrived here in a bad mood already and was prepared to take it out on anyone, I was the unlucky one.

We booked a standard studio unit at the Seaport Village in Russell New Zealand for a stay in early January. On arrival the host very kindly upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment with our own balcony as we had booked in for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we ever find ourselves...
