We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It has everything you could need. The view is amazing, especially with a good sunset. Several restaurants at the bottom of the street and town is a walk away.

One of the best apartments we've ever stayed in. Very spacious, large balcony with amazing view of the bay, good sunset. Full oven, very useful for a wet evening when we decided to stay in and cook. There is a very steep drive up, we managed ok, but also tiring to walk back up from main road; but without this...

Great location with easy access to the local area . It was our first Air Bnb and we have no complaints. Thoroughly recommend the appartment and would definitely return. Only slight issue was reliability of the Internet connection .

Were arrived and were immediately knocked out by the absolutely gorgeous view across the harbour and bay of Nelson. James arrived shortly after to welcome us with fresh flowers and a lot of luxury goodies for Christmas, which was unexpected, but very much appreciated. The 1 bedroom Apartment was clean, nicely furnished and well equipped with everything needed for a...

This was our first Airbnb experience. It sets an extremely high bar for others. The communications throughout the process were excellent as were the welcome and the recommendations regarding Nelson's and the region's facilities. The two bedroom apartment is very well equipped and had everything we needed. We were blessed with excellent weather and could not take our eyes off...

This is by far the most beautiful apartment in Nelson! Perfect for a couple, it is clean, very comfortable, and nicely furnished, but the real deal here is the stunning view of the harbor. Watch the freighters come in from the Tasman Sea, watch the little kids in their sailboats practice their water skills, all from the front deck. James...

A really well presented apartment with a view to sit and savor and enjoy the boats down below. An awesome location up off the road with wide views and all the amenities you need. A quick walk down the hill to a choice of 4 good restaurants. No problems with booking in or out, we were welcomed by James with fresh...

The 1 bedroom apartment is roomy, but has three steps up to the small bedroom and the bathroom has four steps, all with no handrails. This multi level floor plan is not obvious from the website and is very confusing and dangerous at night!

Simply stunning outlook over the Nelson Harbour. Stayed here for 4 nights and the apartment was very comfortable and well serviced. James was easy to contact in the booking process and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed sipping a wine on the balcony watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean whilst eating our freshly cooked seafood purchased from the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Breathtaking harbour, island, bay & mountain views ensure either of the 2 apartments are ideal places from which to enjoy the magical view: from the maritime traffic in the harbour to the grand vista of Tasman Bay & the western mountain ranges. A 1 bedroom apartment is on the lower level. It has beautiful wood floors & a large living area with big sliding windows & doors. There's a compact kitchen, tiled bathroom & laundry appliances. The 2 bedroom is above. It also has a large open living area & big windows & sliding doors. There's a full kitchen & separate laundry. The higher elevation give it earlier sun & a slightly more expansive view. The property is on the hillside (away from the busy waterfront highway). Nelson's renown waterfront dining strip is very nearby, at the bottom of the hill (2 mins walk down). The township is a 4 min drive. Abel Tasman National Park is easily doable as a day trip. There is a steep driveway with good parking & turning room at the top. There are approximately 16 steps up to Apartment 1 & another 16 to Apartment 2. These are normal spaced steps with good handrails. The property is managed by James and Richard of Te Puna Wai Lodge, Nelson. We manage a range of vacation properties in the area. ... more   less
