We stayed here for three nights in November. We had the Haulashore rooms. I don't need to repeat descriptions that are already posted here. We loved Nelson and its museums, we loved the house but most of all we loved Richard and James whose generosity and warmth stand out among the many generous and warm people we met in NZ.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Richard and James made us feel welcomed. They even took us to our restaurant the first night. Easy to walk to restaurants and close to the city center.Since we were traveling with another couple who had had knee surgery, we opted for the 3rd floor room. Fabulous views, wonderful linens and nice touches. Rooms...

We had booked the Wakatu room but the owners very kindly upgraded us to the beautiful suite on the third floor that had stunning views over the Tasman Bay. The house has been wonderfully restored and has a great deal of character. There were plenty of dining options within walking distance and the centre of Nelson was only a short...

This is a gorgeous, restored 1850's mansion up on a hill, with stunning views over Tasman Bay, Haulashore island and two mountain ranges. We stayed in the Haulashore apartment, with its lovely wooden floors covered with Oriental carpets, beautiful wooden fireplace, and superb French doors out to a private veranda and flower filled patio. The apartment comes with a charming...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during a honeymoon trip to the south island. Richard and James had truly addressed every single detail in their property. They were so kind and accommodating. They even had a few surprises for us when they found out it was our honeymoon. The views from the house are amazing and the...

Perfectly restored grand house in Nelson's Britannia Heights, walking distance to two of the top-rated white table cloth restaurants. Unmatchable views of the harbor. A little pricey, but it is two bedrooms or an apartment. Lovely hosts and breakfasts.

Te Pun Wai is one of those homes you can see peeping down at you from the hillside as you first drive into Nelson along the foreshore into town. Turning uphill, the driveway cuts off suddenly on the right hand side on a blind corner, so best to follow James’ advice to drive past and do a ‘U’ turn further...

The inn is in an old mansion on a hill in a residential area on the outskirts of Nelson. It is a wonderful, eclectic place with great rooms, very comfy lounge, and magnificent views from every angle. We were in the third floor suite and couldn't ask for more from the room, bath or views. It is exactly an 8...
