The view from the Harbourview is incredible. Seeing the ships come into the harbor along with the sailboats, windsurfers, etc., was fun to watch . The room was very nice and clean. The indoor and outdoor seating areas were great and the breakfast good. A previous reviewer Margaret252 used the word "garrulous" in her review. I had to look that...

The view is what gives the greatest impact here. We stayed in the twin-bedded room with two huge windows overlooking the harbour and private seating area outside. The so-called 'private' bathroom is only private in that guests in that particular room are the only ones who use it. However, it does, as has previously been said, involve walking through the...

The amazing view of Nelson Harbour is what initially strikes you when you arrive followed by the warmth of the hostess, Judy, who can't do enough for you. Importantly Harbour View is spotlessly clean. As others have stated the lack of any or adequate en-suite facilities is a problem if this is something that you set store by; if you...

Spectacular views of the harbour entrance. Good accommodation but if you like to walk, bear in mind that it is situated on a very steep hill. You have the use of a comfortable lounge which is great. Good breakfast too. Judy our hostess, a gregarious lady gave us lots of useful information as to where to go.

We are a family of four with two teenagers. Judy and David have three rooms. My wife and I had one of the two that have a bathroom. Our boys stayed in the one that has two twin beds and no en suite bath. The place is comfortable enough; however, for two rooms (ours had no view and a very...

Stayed there for 3 nights. We had a choice of rooms & picked the one with excellent views out to sea. The bed was very comfortable, the only downside was the very small bathroom. Judy the host was of great help in what to do & where to go(does like to talk thou). The views from the balcony were great,...

If Joy and David are going out for their evening walk make sure you tag along, I cannot say anymore for it would kill the surprise, but it is spectacular. Also make sure you have a nice chilled bottle of wine and a good book because you could spend hours just sitting on the decking looking over the Nelson sound.

We stayed 3 days in Nelson and could not have picked a better Homestay/B&B. It was hard to choose between the bedrooms. Both have spectacular views. One has a queen bed with ensuite and the other has twin beds with a private bath. We opted for the twin beds as it was a bit bigger and had a patio door...

“The garden room with two single beds is a really nice sized room but this didn't have an ensuite, so the double with the view and ensuite is probably the best although this was smaller.”
