A nice sea front location and everything worked but it is a bit old and tatty. The bathroom is painted breeze block, the door has wonky Venetian blinds, the saggy mattress had us sleeping together in the centre of bed. There are probably better places to stay in Kaikoura.

Stayed here before and always get the 1 bedroom Seaview apartment , it's right at the front and great view of the ocean. Very spacious ,well equipped and comfy bed . The wifi is very slow and keeps dropping out . My brother stayed in a studio room and it was old and crampy .,those rooms need updating as they...

What should I say....good things first: Location and friendlyness of the staff is amazing! Just a stonethrow away from the ocean and a few minutes walk to the town centre. Manager Ron was superfriendly and comforting when checking in but when I wanted to check out the next morning (9.45am) there was literally nobody at reception and I just left...

10mins walk from the main shopping strip in Kaikoura. Opposite the water, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Very close to Encounter Kaikoura (we did the Dolphin Encounter, FAB!) Nice, simple motel. Basic room with a pretty good fridge. Some SKY channels, but not all.

We stayed here for two nights. We have to say the staff was so friendly and accommodating! Our room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed! The location is excellent, right across the street from the beautiful ocean. For the great price, we highly recommend!

Stayed 3 nights here in March. Ron was really helpful and managed to book a last min dolphin encounter (with swim) and also a whale watch, both at a discount. The location is pretty quiet, yet convenient for the centre of town. Rooms are pretty basic and could do with a proper spring clean (dust on skirting/window sills, finger marks...

We went there with the family. It was clean and a nice spot good space. A bit outdated and the kitchen and shower was clean. Just we forgot a pair of shoes up there and we called them but they did not find it.

Hotel was very basic but you can't expect to much for the price. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shower room is pretty small and shower head not very high but not a problem. Only thing that bothered me was no air con, the day we turned up it was very hot...

We had a spacious room with three beds, enough room for two adults with a baby, manager was very friendly, room was not cleaned, only towels changed, perfect location directly at the water, very close to cafe encounter and other food places.

Spent three nights here. The 'complex' has the positives of being on the waterfront and the staff are pretty helpful. However... The studios are small and dark, and not cleaned often. The walls between the studios are very thin, I could hear next door constantly. The decor was dated and the bathrooms were cold and reminiscent of a caravan park...
