We had such a warm welcome from Margaret and her daughters. We were treated like the family. Margaret recommended places to eat in the evening as wel as things to do. Lovely warm sitting room with a wood burner. Margaret is an amazing woman - 86 years old with a wonderful garden that she tends herself and she is obviously... More

We received a very warm welcome from Janet and her mum Margaret (despite the fact we had made them late for their dinner, as it had taken us ages to drive from Oamaru!). Margaret is a lovely lady, 86 years old, who does all her own gardening - a garden we can only dream about, it is so lovely! Bayview... More

We were very well looked after, from the yummy welcome banana cake to the lovely wood burner on a chilly evening, to the scrumptious breakfast with home made toasted bread. We will... More

Wonderful in all matters! Warm welcome, the hospitality, the room, the beds, the breakfast, the surrondings. A perfect B&B stay if you are in the neithborhood of Geraldine. We for sure will recommend this to travellers in NZ. And Margreth, you just love her and she loves her guests.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Margaret Woodill is the classic Kiwi grandmother and thinks nothing of getting up at 5.30 am to cook a full breakfast including homemade bread before your whale watching or dolphin swimming trip in Kaikoura, New Zealand.
