Not flash but spotlessly clean and a comfy bed. Our room had a lovely wee view of the sunrise over the sea. The free wifi was a plus. The kitchen is basic (microwave, kettle) with cheerful and plentiful crockery etc. Easy drive to a selection of takeaways.

Units were very clean and a good size for a family. The one we were in was a little scruffy but ok for a night or two. Lovely location to go across the road and watch the sun rise in the morning. Nice bar at the end of the road. Friendly staff.

we thought this was a good location because it was across from the beach and close to the restaurants and boat rides. the hotel was homey and clean. it was a little rundown in places like the carpet and flooring, but the price was unbeatable, so it made up for it. the wifi was free and there was a full... This motel was located probably half way between the shops and the end of the road where you can start the Kaikoura Peninsula walk. The beach is opposite. We had two units booked with a double and single in each one. One was slightly different to the other eg. one had fridge/freezer. Both were very clean with nice crisp linen... More

We were passing through Kaikoura for a night, and chose to stay at this hotel. The living / bed area had a modernised decor, and provided more than adequate space. The bathroom was dated but serviceable. Furthermore the plumbing fixtures on the vanity were an issue; the cold tap wasn't fixed in its place, and the hot tap was hard... More

I felt that we were made welcome on arrival, and were were shown to our room personally. Unfortunately, it did smell a little musty but either we got used to it or the place aired. It was a bit difficult to cook in the room but in the end we went out for fish and chips. However, it is quite... More

I pushed my bags from the coach stop to the motel but had to carry them up the drive because of thick gravel. All rooms have panorama glass frontages with ceiling to floor net curtains. One's privacy may not be jeopardised but one remains uncomfortable as the only place to be fully out of view is in the wet room... More

Booked through booking.com never used before but was quick and easy. I had thought that I'd paid for room before arrival but not so. Was a good room for myself and my Grandson. It was a very hot 2 days felt we could have been offered a fan.

Booked through Trivago and Expedia. Did not look at any other accommodation in Kaikoura as this was the most recommended in town. Room was of a good size and we had everything we needed for a one night stay. Host was lovely and was very welcoming. We all slept well and were ready to continue our travels the next day.

We stayed at this motel for two days and were very unimpressed. The accommodation is too small for any reasonable comfort, with minimal storage space, breeze block walls painted brown and a minuscule toilet sink as the only washing facility. We would not recommend this property.
