I stayed here with a group, for two nights. The book in process, is smooth. My room was clean, with a good kitchen area. The bathroom, had a cantilever basin top, with a huge crack, in the sink, which had been repaired. The remainder of the bathroom was of a good standard. I noticed that some parts of the room... we arrived around 8pm and have no problem checking in. after checking in, we found out that the tv in the room wasn't working and contacted the receptionist. we are allowed to switch to another room provided if we haven't messed up any settings from the previous room. (because they don't have many cleaners during winter season). overall, the room... More

Had a great night at Willowbank. Greeted by a lovely and very helpful member of staff who showed us to our unit. Was very clean and had amazing facilities. Fully kitted out Kitchenette so that enabled us to eat in for the night. Local shop short drive away to get any necessities. Two heaters and electric blanket so a very... More

Stayed here for one night on a weekend trip away. The host Alice was very friendly and helpful. The studio unit was extremely tidy, cosy and quiet. It is self contained and had everything you needed. Bed was comfy and shower was great. Thanks for making our weekend a good one. Would highly recommend and will stay again.

Situated on the north side of town which was ideal for the travel onto Wellington the next morning. Very very clean and tidy, a true compliment to the staff as well as the friendly check in and the big wave and smile on departure in the morning

Friendly owner/managers who were courteous. Didn't take too kindly to the neighbour's dog barking early in the morning and waking us up. Adequate for our purposes. The best part was the heavily discounted charges. Not sure of the legality of sign in the kitchenette?!!

Not much was available in Kaikoura over Easter weekend for a late booking. This motel is an easy, flat walk to the main part of town. Takes about 15 minutes. I found it to be very clean, tidy and comfortable. It was fully booked with families, couples and a group. I don't think you could ask for more for the... More

On the main road out north so a car is useful if you don't want to walk into the town centre. We had a large unit out the back and all was clean and tidy. Nothing flash but good basic accommodation. Staff were helpful. Laundry facilities which is useful after a long road trip. Would use again.

We stayed here in late November 2015, whilst on a 37 day tour of NZ. It is a long way out of town, if walking in for supper. We found the accomodation to be very average, with mixed furniture (chairs/table not matching), cracked basin in bathroom and negative notices everywhere. Manageress was quite off hand, and when we complained about... More

Motel is lower end of the scale. It was a cheap 2 bedroom unit, which suited the 3 of us travelling. A tired motel but did what we want. Very friendly staff. Easy off street parking. I have never seen before a penalty for not washing dishes and cleaning up kitchenette area. Good for a 1 night stay though you... More
