It's a very huge hotel, very simple and affordable. As the many other in New Zealand you can cook, they have three big kitchens and a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms. it's quiet and near of the supermarket.

I stayed for two nights in the Dusky room located at the front right of the building on the first floor, views of the mountains and the sea. Clean and tidy room with en-suite, television and tea coffee making facilities. Spa, swimming pool and sauna. The great thing with this establishment as a solo traveller is the common areas where...

$70 for a private room double with en suite. Amazed with the facility, lucky for us it was hot hot hot so got to use the amazing outdoor space, deck, hot tub and nice warm swimming pool! Loved it wish we could of stayed longer. Short walk to the main town 10-15mins. (2min drive).

This is a large, clean and well maintained lodge on the main highway about ½ km to the center of town. While it isn't a magical little hideaway in the woods it does have three kitchens, several lounges and pool with patio area. The staff are friendly and helpful and the price is fair.

We only stayed one night at this place, but it was a good night. The double room ensuite was nice and tidy (however a frame or some character could have been added). The bed very comfortable, we slept like a baby. The only minus we could add was the toilet paper hadn't been filled up and no bin bag/bin not...

Seriously the worst mattress I've slept on since college backpacking in Central America. Otherwise, everything was ok for the price. But it was such a bad night's sleep, I wish we had just camped instead. Maybe it was just the mattress in our room??

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night while traveling on South Island, we had a private en suite room. For a backpackers hostel it's absolutely fine! The only issues were that the shower was a bit wild so everything gets wet, and general cleanliness was dubious. We didn't use the pool/hot tub, but based on cleanliness were slightly...

The staff is friendly. The hostel is spacious. You have a pool and a spa, not really clean but OK The big advantage of this hostel is the living room and the balcony who is big and great to meet new peoples. Kitchen....ok :/

The hostel is so nice and really well looked after, the rooms and bed that I stayed in were really comfy. Also the pool is really nice, though need a towel to lie on if you want to sunbathe as the floor is the only option. Downside, the atmosphere was pretty rubbish. There wasn't a main common area, so hard...

The beds are clean and the bathrooms are clean for a hostel which can serve over one hundred of guests. Only the kitchens (they got three of them) are a little bit messy and you look in vain for a sharp knife or even a cooking knife. The pool is a little bit too warm, but the ocean is not...
