Good location in the city, beds were comfy, the kitchen area was nice and they served free breakfast in the winter time. Did have to pay for wifi, which was the main downside. However there are free wifi spots around the area. Good place if you are on a budget.

A good place to stay with friends. Hanging out with your friends in their hot tub, swimming pool or sauna. 3 big kitchens, bbq area. Lots of movies to choose from on your lazy night. Free breakfast in winter time. Close to town and super market.

We arrived to a long wait, as there was nobody at reception. We were finally shown to our room only to be greeted by a dirty, smelly and yellow unmade bed. The room was dirty with curtains hanging off the wall. We were moved next door to a made up room that wasn't any better. The room was dirty and...

Dusky lodge is located next to the main highway but it is surprisingly quiet. you can have a great view mountain at the back and sea in front of the lodge. town center is not far from the stay and may just take you about 10mins on foot. good fish and chip shop next to the hostel and further up...

Just a normal hostel, nothing exciting about it at all. The beds are uncomfortable and the hostel itself is pretty untidy. The staff is really great and helpful and even the woofers are really nice. Forgot my jeans in the laundry and the next day I asked the reception if they've seen them. Got them back folded and dried because...

I loved the hostel. I came near to winter and it was pretty quiet. A stones throw from the beach, 10 minutes walk to town and less than 10 minutes to the supermarket. I paid $27 a night for a dorm room which was decent. The hostel offers a hot tub, sauna and swimming pool free of charge. As you...

We stayed here mothers day weekend on a Sat night. Spent the whole day diving, got dinner and came back to sleep as we were diving in the am. We got the room "kiwi". It was wedged between the bathroom and the kitchen. But the kitchen is 24hours and turns into a travellers booze pit! We got NO sleep. Screaming...

For a relatively cheap price you got a lot of facilities here such as swimming pool, sauna, a few kitchens and friendly staff. It's not the cleanest place ever and has that feel you get when the staff are also staying there but overall for what you pay it's pretty good.

3 of us came here and stayed in a 6 bed dorm. Rooms were spacious and although the mattresses were a bit thin, they were still fairly comfortable. Showers and toilets were fine and clean. The other facilities here were amazing! The kitchen was well equipped and the sauna, spa and pool were all amazing considering we were staying in...

Dusky Lodge is a great hostel with rustic character and a good atmosphere. Spacious dorms, kitchens and living areas with lots of quality wood tables. Outside there are extensive wood decked terraces and a fabulous 15m clean heated pool (25c), sauna (105c) and hot tub (?c). Slightly worn overall but mostly clean except where people just don't clean up their...
