We arrived to a welcoming, warming log fire and coffee on! No-one else was booked in the night we were there so had the lodge to ourselves, which was lovely and just what we needed! The room was very comfortable and in the morning, the fire was roaring again and breakfast around the log fire was a lovely start to... More

Thank you Joy and Ross for your great hospitality. The lodge is surrounded by fantastic scenery. The facilities are outstanding and ambience around the log fire was sensational, we didn't want to leave. You really must stay to experience this wonderful venue.

We really enjoyed watching the mist roll in as the open fire blazed with a glass of red wine on Valentines Day. We also loved waking up to see the sun rise over the Kaikoura ranges,... More

“Bring your own food to make dinner - and breakfast and lunch too if you're so inclined, which you can enjoy on the deck with amazing views (or in front of the fireplace during winter!). A well equipped kitchen and BBQ are available for guests to use. Make sure to bring sandfly repellent if you visit during summer and are allergic to or affected by sandflies.”
