Very convenient location, right across Intercity's bus stop and i-Site. Nice room, comfortable bed, sufficient air conditioning thus warm, clean en suite bathroom, excellent and free WiFi connection, friendly staffs, definitely would stay here again during next visit to Kaikoura.

I stayed here one night in April. The hostel definitely has a charm about it, what with the fun marine themed murals painted all over the walls and ceiling of the shared areas! Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great while I was there so I couldn’t...More

Located in the heart of Kaikoura with uninterrupted views of the ocean and mountains is the cosy Fish Tank Lodge. Beds are seriously comfortable with crisp clean linen already made up for you and the national buses stop right outside the front door. The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge warm and cosy with some awesome artwork which is a must see! Feel right at home here with free tea and coffee and a warm kiwi welcome to Kaikoura.
