Travel is about finding the unique and without question that would describe Noah's Ark. This incredible old lady is in the hands of very caring owners and being shared beautifully with travelers. I loved the elephant room and the fact the building bonds guests - everyone was friendly. The hostel is very clean and lacking the musty scent that many...

The owners of the hostel were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were big, clean and spacious, kitchen had a lot of utensils with free herbs to use. Also free wifi was excellent! The dining room was big with sofas where people could just chill and relax, however it is separated from the kitchen. Another really distracting thing were water pipes...

Had a great stay here, Harry and his wife are great hosts. You will love the rooms each with it done in each animal. Ours was the cat room, complete with ornaments, cushions, paintings, wall art, just for cat lovers like us. Very clean. A lovely outdoor area out the back, great kitchen to cook in. So comfortable, close to...

Spent two nights here, one in the monkey room and one in the penguin room, both very much enjoyed by the two of us. Incredibly nice and helpful owners, a private spa and a very friendly dog which is always good :)

Greymouth is a boring town and there is no reason to actually visit it. If you do happen to stop there on the way north/south, Noah's is a good place to stop. A cosy veteran hostel which has large common areas. The rate of bathrooms/toilets to rooms is lacking and. Location is close to downtown which is a ghost town....

Staff was very nice. We only stayed here one night. The "cat room" was lovely and very comfy. What I personally find annoying is the fact that the kitchen facilities close at 10pm. Don't like that kind of restrictions.

My wife and I checked in for a night at Noah's. I usually don't fuss about stuff unless it is really bad. The double room we got was freezing. It had a single heater that ran on a timer for about 2 mins. So we were freezing the whole night. There was one shower and toilet on our level of...

Excellent kitchen with free provision of spices & condiments. Although the kitchen is small, an island table allows for efficient sharing. There are both baking ovens n microwave ovens which alllows for fast cooking or elaborate feasting. Regular cleaning by their live in workers takes place after dinner time and does not interrupt residents' activities. Excellent lounge area with two...

We loved it, so quiet, such a pretty place. It's like a home. We had a warm greeting, the owners are really nice. The only thing we weren't happy about, which is not too bad. Is that they stacked all of us in the same dorm when an other one (same size) was empty. I recommend this hostel and greymouth!
