I admit I wanted cheap accomodation and that's what I got. Compared to what I saw online my room was ok. On check in I was greeted by a lady wearing a bandana. She was not very welcoming and seemed uninterested in her job, perhaps having a bad day? I had the room on the Lower floor by the road...

We stayed in this hotel for one night and one was enough. We booked a year in advance and first thing the lady said to us was "oh, maybe we have already overbooked tonight", she finally found our booking. No on site parking, parking is up the road, in a vacant lot. Once in our room we noticed: - Motel...

We booked one night at this hotel over new year. We thought the deal was excellent as it included the room and a full buffet breakfast for each of us in the morning. The phone service when making the booking was a little "relaxed?" i suppose for want of a better word. We explained we were travelling with a special...

Our tour group stopped here on a Sunday night. Greymouth on a Sunday is bad enough but staying at this hotel added to the experience. The room was a reasonable size but needed considerable decoration. The feature in the bedroom was a large sprinkler pipe that ran the length of the room. The bathroom was small and needed modernising. The...

My review could be out of context with most reviews of this hotel, purely and simply because I stayed in 1 of their 6 river view suites, as opposed to a normal room. First impressions were that externally, the building needs a lick of paint and some maintenance. Internal first impressions - good décor, clean, well laid out. Reception staff...

Accepting this is in easy distance of the station and the car hire companies consider an alternative location. Bathroom was from the last century with poor, cracked fittings. Decor in the room had not been updated for many years as had the fittings. Bed was very wobbly and unstable and fridge continually leaked. Service downstairs was very abrupt and curt. In...

Very disappointed with the attitude of the front desk staff. Wouldn't allow us to have 2 couples stay in a 4 person room due to "health & safety"?? Yet there is a double and a queen bed in the room... Really?? If it's health and safety, take out the 2nd bed!!

Our travel plans changed due to bush fires clsoing the road to Hamner Springs. We booked the Kingsgate by phone relying on the Millenium name. The lady at checkin was surly, but when we got to the room we could not believe it. Small, shabby and in need of total refurb. It was15 feet from the main port road and...

Nice setting and close to town. The staff were nice and the room was good and tidy. Very quiet Had meal at hotel restaurant and the burgers were amazing Dessert was tasty as we ordered the cheesecake The hotel is located at central part of greymouth and this made it easy to head to pancake rocks which is forty minutes...

This hotel is badly in need of a renovation. The interior is very old and crappy. The rooms have a strange smell. The WiFi is practically non working. The beds are way too soft and the bathroom is crooked. I will certainly not return to this place.
