Thank you to the fantastic staff, who were more than helpful with my partner and I stay over the weekend to be so enjoyable. We had last minute bookings, changes, and additional room add ons over the 3 days, not only did they accommodate us but the rooms were A+. I would recommend Discovery Settlers Hotel to anyone staying in...

Stayed there this weekend and was really pleased with this hotel. All the staff were really lovely, very accommodating, and all went the extra mile. The rooms were beautifully clean, tidy and decorated really nice. Was worried, that the hotel might have been a bit dated, but was very pleasantly surprised as the rooms are very nice. Definitely will recommend...

Stayed a couple of nights. First time since I worked at this establishment 38 yrs ago!! Pleasantly surprised with the room and the place as a whole. Good place to rest up, and see the local sights. Did not use restaurant or bar. Very reasonably priced and central to all things in whangarei

Stayed here in late June 2014 as a travelling couple from Australia. The room is cosy and nice. We overlooked the big river in Whangarei, and could see the mountain. For what we payed, we got a brilliant room. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, a very lovely place. The staff are kind and did not mind us booking out half an...

Hotel front of house staff are terribly rude! What ever happened to hospitality? You will not find it here!!! We are traveling with an internationally renowned band from the USA and this horrible experience is one of the last things they will experience in New Zealand. You should be totally ashamed of yourselves and also learn how to cook! Go...

OK, so it was the coldest day of the year and Northlanders are quite unused to temperatures near freezing, but a couple of extra blankets would have been handy. I can see that the place would be much more pleasant in a warmer season. The room layout was fine and there was plenty of space to work in. The bed...

This was a great hotel. The rooms were quite big and everything you needed was there. It is close to very good cafes and restaurants. There is also a good restaurant on the premises where breakfast and evening meals are served. Altogether a very good experience.

I stayed here lastnight and it was terrible! The shower and toilet was not up to clean standards and the reception staff were very unhelpful!!! NOT impressed at all. The directions I was given lead me to the wrong destination and I simply asked for a 11am check out as stated on my booking but was denied! I will not...

We stayed for here for two nights, walking distance down town, clean and comfortable room, but quite small. The hotel has a big parking area and a nice garden for relaxing. Quite cheap – good value for money. We used this hotel as "base camp" for local sightseeing

Keep coming back and even though it is years between each visit I always get a good nights sleep. Have stayed here on and off for many years, the rooms are clean and tidy, most importantly to me the beds are comfortable and staff friendly and helpful.
