Have made many trips to this accommodation and stayed in all the rooms. Lovely hallway with beautiful wood paneling and flooring. Comfortable lounge with great views... even better from up the hill behind the house, sitting on bench under the stunning trees - so tranquil. Rooms well kept and comfortable.

Our room had a lovely view out to the river. The house is a beautiful old villa with native bush surrounding it at the back. It was clean, quiet and peaceful and had a neat little ensuite in the room. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep!

Jackie is an artist...she is also a Hundertwasser fan. That places her in the best category for us. What a lovlly little B& B. Yes, as others have stated the bed was fabulous....but we had to get up and explore.. Thanks Jackie..we will undoubtedly be back . The three cabins in the H/w style will look awesome!!!! . Cheers Martin...

As for other guests who have posted mixed or poor reviews, I booked the single room, which looked fine on the on-line pictures. It is through sliding doors off the main lounge, and has a large sauna in it. It wasn't clear on the website photos what this structure was. The room was clearly being used to store junk, with...

On a budget due to saving for a big trip in April. Boy do I regret this. My "single room" was in what looks like a dining room off the lounge with a sliding door between. There is a simple hook for a 'lock'. I came home in the evening and people were in the lounge. All I wanted to...

I stayed in the single room and it was good value for money. Being on my own the room was fine but if there had been other guests in residence it may have been awkward as this bedroom was right beside the main lounge. It also appeared to be a thorough-fare to the outside deck. Cleanliness wasn't great, with fluff...

Stayed 2 nights with the hostess as she is a second cousin. The Riverside room was very comfortable and the Continental breakfast was very welcome with plenty of choice. Thanks Jackie for a delightful stay.

I stayed in Whangarei as a base for one night to be able to continue my journey the next day; the town is not particularly exciting but it does have a lot of hotels and rooms. I found this little B&B and thought to give it a try and was glad I did. It is welcoming with only a few...
