Stayed here with niece 8 and nephew 7 for a special birthday treat. Room is not just dated but has no pride taken in it at all. Watermarks all over the sagging ceiling, stains on bathroom floor, chips and marks in ALL the furniture, no valances on beds so you can see the crappy bed bases, fridge sitting on 2...

Dear Jodsjess Thank you for taking the time to review Motel Sierra. It is always great to get feedback from our guests and aim to take everything on board. I am sorry that our staff did not take it upon themselves to move you into a unit that more suited your requirements. Did you get the opportunity to talk to...

A group of us stayed here for one night on our way up north Jetski fishing. As we had a number of jetskis we needed somewhere secure with plenty of parking space - Motel Sierra fitted that bill perfectly! They have security cameras around the place. The reception staff were very helpful in sorting out our parking and telling where...

After you get over the 70s musty smell and 'lovely' decor you look around and see it is tidy, staff are very lovely, bed is good to sleep in, and road noise is minimal. The Motel is a little bit out of the city centre and if you want a pub meal there's one a short drive down the street.

We have come from Christchurch to do some work in Whangarei, which we were held up with weather . The hosts were over the top accomadateing us with washing Dinners and re organising our stay with them. We went fishing one night and came home with fish the host filleted the fish and cooked it for us. They went out...

I have just stayed here for over a week whilst working in the area. The units were clean and tidy and were serviced regularly. The pool and spa is amazing. Most of all the hosts were super friendly, made us feel welcome, and nothing was ever a problem. I would definitely recommend this Motel and when I return I will...

My partner niece and I stayed here and the hosts were so rude! I highly recommend you don't stay here! A scene had occurred as the Managers wife had accused me of lying. Did not take to that well at all! Room was tidy, fast wifi. But overall not gd.

My daughter and I have stayed here a couple of times. The spa room is beautiful and relaxing. I appreciate them providing towels for the pool and spa. Decor is a little old but that's typical for Whangarei. Lovely owners.

Everything was positive about our stay from the intial welcome booking on the phone to the whole package in the motel. We stayed in the large house which will sleep up to 10 guests (1 double, 1 single, 1 quad, 1 triple) and found it well equipped and comforatable. There is a small swimming pool (large enough for 4 teens...

Overall a disappointing accommodation choice. Uncomfortable bed. Noisy. Cold. Hosts a little casual. Could do with an upgrade to better cater for weary travellers. I'm not tall but had to almost crouch in shower. Can't find anything positive sorry.

We had spent time camping and decided to treat ourselves to a couple of nights in a motel. This was a great price and close to everything you want. The owner was lovely and suggested we try the hot spa. Oh my! It was glorious. We would gladly come back again. Our room even had a bath and shower. Thanks...

“For a large group, ask for the house. Rooms further from the road are preferred.”

“because we were close to a main highway, there was lots of traffic, but you know I don't know if I really did hear much traffic. Maybe just too too tired. Also it is two stories high, so if you have problems like stairs, I made sure I asked for ground floor room. there was small to larger rooms.”

“Rooms at the back are quieter.”

“I think the rooms at the back cost $10 more, and the walls were thin, however we didn't hear the noise from the road in our cheaper room.”
