We had to get away from Wellington after the earthquakes and bad weather but couldn't travel far with our 2 dogs, so decided on Palmerston North for a weekend. We stayed at the Pavillon for 2 nights and had a very good stay. The hosts were fantastic as was the very friendly cleaning lady (sorry - I've forgotten your names!)... More

We had a small dog with us and this is a pet friendly motel. It is a nice location because it is very close to the Esplanade and the Manawatu river so there was plenty of places to exercise the dog. The facilities were adequate and the room was well cleaned each day.

We arrived in Palmerston North after a bad day on the road. We were heading to New Plymouth from Napier but a very bad traffic accident closed the highway for over 4 hrs. We had been sitting stationary for around an hour before we found out the the highway was closed and likely to stay that way for quite a... More

Uncomfortable and cold. For some reason they left all the windows open in the unit in the middle of winter. TV in corner of room like a prison cell. Holes in ugly stucco walls. Couches (if you can call them that) were the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on. Our double room they charged extra for one child even though... More

The Hot and Cold was back to front over the Bath and Shower. Lights on Lamp beside bed was flickery, so did not use. Very Noisy Had a noisy Heater for room. There was a draft under Entrance Door making the room drafty when Heater was turned off to sleep

Our school was in Palmerston North for Volleyball Nationals and Linda from the Pavillion Motel couldn't do enough for us. The conference centre was great for team meetings, team dinners etc, we have booked again for next year and we will... More

Excellent location for easy access to Palmerston North shopping, restaurants and services. Also, in the perfect location for travellers with dogs as the Victoria Esplanade and Manawatu River tracks are within easy walking distance. The room was very tidy, well lit and spacious and the motel grounds are tidily kept. We had a bit of noise from the service station... More

We stayed here with our dog who was having treatment at Massey University. Motel unit was spacious, clean and well equipped. Nice lawn area for short walks and then very close down a quiet street to the Esplanade for a lovely walk through the woods to the rose garden. Welcoming and obliging hosts and a bonus of plunger coffee in... More
