I loved it at the Ritz!! The stuff is super friendly, the beds are comfy and you have big rooms with a bathroom included. The social atmosphere was amazing! They offer every evening different specials as free pasta or free wine and cheese and so on :) and they have free rice and pasta all day! I would definitely recommend...

Lovely hostel with a great atmosphere and staff. Spent just one night there but I've really missed it after staying in other hostels here in Melbourne. Everything worked great and the bed was super comfortable.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my girlfriend in a private room. We got a very good rate on Booking.com which made it hard to pass up. The man at reception was very nice throughout our stay. Our room was outdated and needed painted, the fan was covered in months of dust (would take them 30 seconds to clean)....

Stayed for 1 week in a private room. Hostel was friendly, staff really helpful. Kitchen was always kept clean and other general areas kept clean throughout the day. Was useful to have a fridge in the room also! Hostel arranges nightly events, but is quiet enough so that you can get to sleep easily. Only issue was that the showers...

One word - outstanding. Great and interactive staff, place in general is always tidy and nice, rooms are great and bright, what else? Pancakes for breakfast, events every night of the week (just be sure to make it in time as the edibles and/or beverages tend to mystically disappear quickly). There are long term residents as well as come-and-go ones,...

The pillows and duvets were so stinky, they have never been washed or changed. No use of changing linen if they are dirty. And they expect travelers to keep the kitchen tidy, so the result was chaos. And that "free breakfast" is the same as no breakfast. Managers of Australia hostels should a bit educational trip to Europe to learn...

Very cheap hostel, but it's not that great. Stayed for 3 nights, rooms are really dirty, beds were really uncomfortable. I was told by someone staying in my room not to use the downstairs showers as they were rubbish, used the upstairs ones so can't say what they were like myself, but the upstairs ones were pretty good. Living room...

After staying in YHA hostels in Australia, this hostel was a big change! Went into our room to find that the previous people had covered the smoke alarm and it felt/smelt like they had smoked about 5 packets a day. Went to have a shower to find that ALL the windows were open (bear in mind that it was about...

The Ritz is a great place to stay, nice people, activities every day!! The hostel is always clean and the location is perfect to take the tram to the city or walk to the beach. 100% recommend this place.
