Paul was a lovely host. Rooms were large, clean and beds confortable. Short walk to beach and restaurants. Continental breakfast was served in a lovely old fashioned drawing room. Wonderful thank you!

Large comfortable bedroom. Basic buffet breakfast provided. Guests had to use a large shared bathroom but this didn't prove to be a problem. Tea/coffee making facilities available including use of large fridge in dining room. Great location which was a short walk away from the town centre where there plenty of places to eat.

Beds are terrible - owner defensive about this. Cleanliness an issue see photos. Shared bathroom. No offer of water for bedroom or wifi. Breakfast very basic - no decent coffee/skinny milk/only one type of tea. Margarine served in supermarket tubs with crumbs, Jam etc in it from other customers. Very noisy corner but close proximity to city. Owner did assist...

The breakfast was a little sparse and could be improved with not so much effort as far as variety goes. The upstairs room next to the street was noisy at night and I used ear plugs to sleep. The proprietor, Paul, was accommodating and friendly and provided helpful tips about Geelong.

This is a B& B late 1800s home with 3 bedroom upstairs and 4 downstairs. The rooms are very clean and tidy with double glaze windows to block out the noise close to the city. You do need to share a bathroom with other tenants and doesn't have many car spaces if you are driving.

This is a fabulous Edwardian home with loads of character. It was great for us to stay as we only needed a bed after partying until 0200. The host Paul was very accommodating and facilitated the choice of a firm bed by allowing us to check out all the firmer beds. The bed we chose suited our needs and was...

The house is of old Victorian architecture, and is stunning in the middle of the city. It's a bit of an oasis. Despite being in the centre of Geelong, the traffic didn't pose too much noise at all! The owner Paul was really accommodating! The beds were very comfortable and all in all it was relaxing! A much needed getaway...

Stayed at Gatehouse on Ryrie for 2 nights in a gorgeous and spacious upstairs room. We had the balcony overlooking a busy intersection and large period bathroom to ourselves. Our host was very obliging and allowed us to change rooms because I preferred the view, however I would have been content in any of the upstairs bedroom. Park the car...

Stayed for three nights in a small room, on ground floor away from the road traffic. Regardless, there is still quite a lot of noise from the street (including very late and very early, especially on the Fri/Sat/Sun that I stayed). There is a pretty large lounge and breakfast room, very basic, help yourself. Shared bathrooms were okay, one upstairs...
