We chose to change our itinerary so we could stay at this hotel at the end of our holiday after starting our holiday here. The hotel has old world charm combined with modern rooms. It is located on a hill overlooking Launceston and just far enough from the centre to avoid the traffic and the town bells that sound on...

We got the room for disabled persons... roughly if u r disabled u re not entitled to proper hotel room... choice is between day light or privacy - windows direct view on reception entry - plus I am puzzled about the compliance of the room and bathroom. There was no wire along the wall for alarm. The blinds handle are...

It's not the flashiest hotel in town but it is a comfy stay! The beds are great, the service is good, it's a 5 minute walk to a very nice cafe! And a 8 minute walk to a bottle shop! What more could you possibly want?

We spent a night in the Auldington whilst staying in Launceston. What a quirky old building. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed. Free car parking was also useful. I had one concern over cleanliness but this issue was quickly and efficiently managed by a very pleasant young man working on reception.

After 7 days cycling along the east coast of Tassy we were well greeted by the hotels Gen Manager James. Our room was clean, quiet and well appointed. James provided very good info on what to do and where to dine. He has arranged 10% food discounts at many of the local restaurants which we partook of. We slept well...

We booked two rooms which were interconnecting via a small hallway. The larger of the two rooms had a queen size bed and the smaller room had a king size bed! Beds were comfortable, room very clean and both had private ensuites. Only suggestion is to put block out blinds/curtains in the larger corner room with the balcony. We travelled NYE...

Lovely old building and we were lucky enough to have a corner room with balcony and a view of the city but could have done with heavier window coverings to block out the security light. Really enjoyed our stay.

The Auldington was a lovely place to stay at. The manager was very accommodating and helped us with whatever we needed. He gave us access to the BBQ so we could cook freshly caught fish for dinner. The room was clean and had such a great view. Bathroom was great with a big bath tub and lots of room. The...

I stayed at the Auldington my first night in Tasmania. Good location, close enough to walk to the Gorge. Building and rooms are nice. Don't look behind curtains & bedside table, very very dusty. Check-in friendly. Check-out very unfriendly as we were slightly late for the 10:00am checkout and did not want to pay the AUD60 surcharge: manager was very...

The manager James was extremely polite, very welcoming and very professional. The room was beautiful, so clean with a great bathroom and also interesting artwork, quite chic. Good position, close to everything, can't wait to go back there!
