The Sebel is a well located hotel in Launceston with fairly good service, clean rooms, comfortable bed and good water pressure in the showers. It's an ok place to stay but nothing special. We stayed in the penthouse suite and did not have wifi access. The hallway had a slightly strange smell and whilst our suite was gigantic, it wasn't...

We only stayed one night in the New Year. The hotel is conveniently located near the city centre. The room is large with separate living room in modern interior design. Carpark is easily accessible from the hotel. Staff is helpful.

It took a lot of research of the trip advisor reviews to book my 3 nights in Launceston at The Sebel. At the end I was tossing up between the Sebel and Peppers Seaport and I chose the former on account of the parking being more readily available than Peppers. I booked 6 months in advance and pre-paid. This is...

Dear Leonie, I'm sorry the location of our 2nd floor apartment didn't meet your needs but glad we had availability in one of our 3 bedroom apartments on the 4th floor. Cancellation after arrival on the same day is difficult as it is highly unlikely we are able to sell the room at that stage. It's disappointing the room service...

After my wife and I were let down by another hotel, we enquired here and needed early check in. The staff were fantastic, incredibly friendly and the rooms were great, even got a free upgrade. Location was perfect by lovely restaurants

Centrally located, very good size rooms with all the facilities you require to sleep well, get your clothes cleaned and a efficient bathroom and kitchenette. Although we did not eat in the hotel it did look very pleasant restaurant. We took breakfast in a cafe which was about 50 metres from the hotel, cheaper than the Sebal and quality and...

Dear Gordon, I'm pleased our facilities were a good fit for your needs and that you slept well during your stay. The Cataract Gorge is certainly a highlight and the walk along the river is a pleasant way to access it. We hope to welcome you back in future. LOCATION: Walking distance to CBD. HOTEL: Friendly, slow check-in. Only one staff at reception. Staff regularly answering the incoming phone calls causing delays during check-in and check-out. Good size, fully equipped apartment with washer and dryer. Clean. Good beds. Decent pillows. Good A/C. We did not find the Launceston Post Office tower bell strikes as loud at night as some...

Thanks for your review and glad on the whole you liked the hotel but apologies if you experienced some delays at check in. We do have 2 reception staff on during peak times but it's sometimes difficult to predict the surges so occasionally we do experience busy times which can slow things down. Hope to see you again in future....

We straggled in smelly, wet and exhausted from doing the Overland Trek to be welcomed with a smile and a free upgrade! We stayed in an apartment here for 2 nights as part of a self drive around Tasmania. The apartments are spacious with a separate bedroom and kitchen/lounge. Dear Nicolas, Thanks for recommending us via your review and glad you liked the facilities and location of the hotel. Good tip also on the walk to the Gorge from the hotel.
