It was a shocking place!!!!! Not the Hotel what is recommended ,and is advertised on the web side. We book for 3 nights .. we stayed only one night it was impossible to stay a other night. We drove up the laneway and first impressions were not very good the garden was very untidy and all looked a little shabby....

We do not mind a fair appraisal of our business but strongly object to complaints that we have not had the opportunity to address, during the stay. You arrived back at the property on your second day at about 4:45pm obviously upset from the news that your son had a serious motor vehicle accident and you had to return home...

My husband and I stayed here earlier this year (2013).We love to stay all over our beautiful state so we scanned the internet for accomodation with a Spa in the room and found Edenholme it looked beautiful. But, we thought a bit overpriced but would book anyway mainly because it had a Spa.We drove up the laneway and first impressions were...

We were on the ground floor and for much of the stay the only guests. The room had some beautiful antique furniture. The bed/mattress was uncomfortable and creaked and squawked at the slightest movement. The bathroom was pretty ordinary with holes in the roof and floor tiles which had mould ingrained into them. Chairs needed reupholstering and re-padding. The host...

I stayed here for 2days....I found it a uniques experience from the usual sterile hotels I have stayed...breaky was served in an old dining area and offered so much food and the host went out his way to bring me a cup of tea in a teapot from days gone by...As it was raining the host raced out to meet...

Beautiful, cosy heritage property in a central yet quiet location. Excellent service with an unbeatable tailor-made breakfast. The family room in the main house has direct external access and accomodates 4 with reasonable comfort. Recommend.

I don't usually stay in older places because of the risk of dust triggering asthma. However Edenholme is clean with no 'musty' smell, and full of charming antiques and collectables. Our host Paul showed us all the rooms and the whole place is fascinating. Quiet location, comfy beds, and a continental breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade preserves. Paul offered...

Had a wonderful stay. If your looking for unique accommodation and not a bland generic hotel room, this is the place to stay. Beautiful home built in the 1800's with grand rooms and ornate antique furniture. Host Paul made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend.

This is a lovely old house overlooking Launceston and set in substantial gardens which provide an element of seclusion. It is outside the CBD but has plenty of parking available on site so driving into town is an easy option. The host is very welcoming and they provide free Internet access. On the negative side the rooms badly need a...

Stayed 2 nights in the cottage but would have moved after one if Launceston had not been hosting a racing event and was pretty booked up. Please read the other "poor" reviews as they are representative of our experience. Not sure who penned the "excellent" reviews or through what tinted glasses they viewed the property but I am now wondering...

“Depends in what you are looking for? We wanted a four post bed. Paul let us look at the other rooms, Any would be great. Our room was off the side, but entered into the dining room; if you have trouble with stairs and steps, avoid it, and shower over the bath. However the closed in Varandah was nice. Remember, its an old house, be prepared for imperfections, after 132 yrs its still standing! Ask Paul of its history.”
