Our room was situated on the rather busy York St, however with the glassed in verandah the road noise was non existent. The room was spaciously comfortable including a large cosy 4 poster bed. The service was excellent and the breakfast was delicious and great value. Close to the centre of town and walking distance to several spots of interest... More

Good location with easy walk to Cataract Gorge, has a quaint feel and the rooms are a really good size with a full kitchenette, not that we used it as there was some really nice eateries nearby. Service was fine and on site parking was definitely handy.

We stayed for on night, Sunday 9th October 2016 in room 18. We were able to access our room early, which was a great bonus. The Inn is easy to find, clean comfortable and a huge wonderful queen size bed. Lovely en-suite and all the tea/coffee needs. A very good value for money stay. It was worth spending a bit... More

This is a lovely heritage hotel with an old world charm. We were warmly greeted, shown to our room personally and given advice on the operation of the air-conditioner, TV, etc. The room was generously proportioned and comfortable. Whilst we didn't need them, electric blankets were provided, the bathroom was clean and modern with a heritage feel, the air-conditioning was... More

The rooms themselves were nice heritage style but the customer service was really not there. I was told when I checked out, by the male member of staff that he "trusts the room was left in good condition" after we stayed and was generally unfriendly during our entire stay. I am mixed race and Asian passing and while I accept... More

When you visit Launceston this is a nice place to stay for couples. The food is good, it is central to shops and city bus's Rooms are comfortable but there is a bit of traffic noise that is easy fixed with a few pints or ear plugs

Quaintly appointed but showing signs of wear. Our air conditioner was very noisy and couldn't be kept on overnight when it was cold ☹️ the bed was comfortable and the towels were soft. Tea and coffee provided.

If you want to be in 5 min walking distance to Cataract Gorge the Old Bakery Inn is the place to stay! Walk to the river cruise booking office and boardwalk with breakfast and dinning cafes. Also a 10 min walk to the walk around the Gorge. About a 20 minute easy walk along the edge of the Gorge to... More

My husband and I were extremely impressed with the atmosphere and helpful, cheerful staff during our stay at the Old Bakery Inn last weekend. The room was cottage style, with all the mod cons you need - a kettle to make a warm cuppa, the heater, the electric blanket, the telly with various channels, a courtyard to sit in, even... More
