We found this hotel by chance and were happy we did. You order your meals at the bar. Everyone enjoyed their meals, staff were friendly and the building was beautifully fitted out, would eat here again

Three of us went out for a meal, two of which ordered soup and one of these also ordered Kilpatrick oysters. Before we had finished the soup the gentleman's oysters came out. Then out came the third gentleman's main meal, shortly followed by the mains for the two that had ordered soup. So there we were, one person eating his...

Called in for lunch. Nice dining room. An extensive menu, and we both settled for the chicken schnitzel, which was a good size, well cooked, with a dressed side salad and chunky chips. A nice gravy accompanied the meal. Average price for the area.

Visiting Mt Gambier overnight and wanted somewhere to have a decent meal. We stopped at a couple of places & didn't like the menu, walked past this pub & decided to have a look. We both felt like a feed with vegies & the roast of the day sounded like a fair choice. We weren't dissapointed at $19.90. A serve...

We only stayed one night on New Year's Eve. We were in the 2 bedroom unit downstairs that had a small kitchen and spacious bathroom. Bed was comfy and all was good, only complaint I have is that we couldn't open the windows to let fresh air in as it was a bit musty smelling in the bedroom.

We spent two nights in a balcony room at the Mount Gambier Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and has been restored with modern bathrooms and amenities while still keeping the design features of the original hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic and we had a good meal downstairs in the bistro. The room was clean and comfortable. The only negatives...

We stayed in Mt. Gambier for one night and this place is all we needed. Clean and tidy room with large bed and TV. Bathroom small and dated with a low showerhead but no complaints from us considering how affordable it was.

After arriving home we found we had been charged for the Mini bar which we had not used. Maybe it was the stock-take or housekeeping missing the stock from the previous guests. So if you stay there check the mini bar. The food was passable but there are plenty of choices nearby. I like my Coopers Pale Ale but for...
