Heading to a smaller regional city for two weeks unbroken work doesn't sound like much fun and it isn't really. However, staying at the International Lodge made it so much easier and enjoyable for me. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it was like staying with family. My room was clean and comfortable, and very restful once I got...

Just stopped for a night on the way through to Mackay. Owners were excellent and happy to help as best they could. Provided water, fresh milk and even a free ride to the bus station the next day. For the price couldn't recommend it enough!

From the minute you walk into the hotel you are made to feel at home, Petra and Michael are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Michael is extremely knowledgeable of the local area, there are plenty of restaurants within a close proximity and there is always the offer of delicious home cooked meals. I have stayed...

I stayed here with my partner on the way down the Queensland coast. We were tired after a long days drive from Innisfail. The owners welcomed us and we had free cookies offered to us, very friendly service. The room was clean and comfortable, with free wi-fi so always a plus! Our stay was quick but memorable. If your after...

While checking in, we were thinking of going out for breakfast the next day rather than eat here. When I said no, i didn't want to order anything off their menu, the owner asked if I wanted pancakes? Being my favourite food, i said that she said the magic word. But my husband went on to say that I normally...

We stayed in Room 1 for one night and found the room comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly, and showed us to the room when we checked in and provided us with milk and yummy homemade biscuits. We ordered breakfast for the next morning and it was freshly cooked and delicious! The motel is in close proximity to a...

First we just booked one night in the motel with Petra and Michael - but it didn't take long to feel totally comfortable! The rooms offer all amenities you can wish for and are in a perfect and clean condition! Petra and Michael would not only offer you touristic information but everything else they can help you with. They just...

We decided to stay here because the previous reviews were so good. Our accommodations met our needs....bed, towels, coffee, hot water pot, etc. Though we've stayed in places with many more amenities, this one takes the cake for great service. Although, we do have a fondness for what we call "I Love Lucy" type of motels. Mike and Petra were...

A very warm welcome with milk for tea. Clean and comfortable, quiet location so a good night's sleep. Central Mackay is all walkable with lots of bars and restaurants around, the Italian across the road was great. A good place to stay on a long journey north or south. Breakfast is delivered to your room as there is no restaurant.
