I booked this place purely for the cheap price. We were in the Illawarra visiting family and friends & just wanted a place to sleep. We came across this hotel which was offering a great price for a family room, we usually lean towards 2 bedroom places so our 12 & 10 year old boys can enjoy their own space,...

Friendly staff at reception welcomed us with a smile. The room was spacious and spotless. Bed was pretty comfy. Only objection really was that it is a bit noisy close to the road, so perhaps double glazing the windows could be a good investment in the future.

Motel offers a variety of rooms with different aspects and sizes but overwhelming memory is of the pleasant, welcoming and supportive staff who attended us during our stay. Even the boutique room which we were warned was small was quite spacious by comparison with other motel rooms in which we have resided in the GONG. Word of caution though that...

In Wollongong for a friends dinner party near by and stayed at this classic motor Inn. Owners incredibly accomodating our later arrival. A few minutes walk from the gorgeous North beach. Would stay again anytime.

Stayed 3 nights - all in a very comfortable and clean room, and staff (also guests!) were very friendly. Is on quiet street very near beach and free buses around town taking in the key places of interest so a good location. More upmarket places are nearby with bars, free papers and shops, and complimentary wine in room so I...

When we pulled up to the car park, I thought, and my daughter said "oh my goodness Mum. Don't tell anyone we stayed here". Given that, I had already booked & paid. Went to reception, the welcome was so friendly and helpful. I felt reassured. Room is very basic, small & old style. Clean, yes. Great location. Upshot is great...

Stayed here for one night in one of the rooms that sleeps 4. Clean tidy. Ground floor. Bit noisy but comfortable. Handy to beach club and restaurants. Close to University of Wollongong which was the purpose of our visit. The rooms need some attention to crockery and cutlery. Only 1 wine glass. Boo hoo. Nice hosts. Very friendly. Thank you.

Spacious, clean but also ugly room. Good location near the beach and within 20 minutes walking distance from the city centre. Didn't interact much with the staff, but when I did they were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately no free WiFi.

Great location close to the beach and Wollongong City. Located on a busy road but noise doesn't intrude unless you're on the balcony. Comfy and clean beds and owners are very friendly. Spa suite is well laid out with sufficient space for a couple for a short stay. No extras included (no microwave or cutlery, just tea, coffee and sugar...

for me this hotel was in a great spot, close to the beach, close to great restaurants and good parking. road noise was at a minimum if I kept the window closed but not bad if I didn't. the facilities are basic but I found them more then adequate. the layout felt like it was more spacious than a normal...
