We stayed at The Observatory last year in an ocean-view hotel room, but this year we were offered an excellent deal in a one-bedroom apartment at the back of the building. We were very pleased with the 4th-floor apartment, which was very well equipped for our 3-night stay. The views were still nice, particularly at night with all the twinkling...

Comfortable and quiet with outstanding views. Proximity to beaches and beautiful coastal walks a real plus. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We appreciated the complimentary chocolates, wine, beer & cheese pack on arrival. Can’t recommend The Observatory enough!

Thank you Greg for your wonderful review. We are indeed very fortunate to have such a wonderful location in Port overlooking Town beach and our northern coastline. As you experienced as well, the coastal walks from The Observatory are also quite spectacular. Hope to see you back with us again soon.

We loved the peace and quiet! The view was just beautiful and being able to walk into town was great. We were very relaxed. We hope next time to stay in an apartment so we can cook a little. We just had a very relaxing week.

We arrived tired and what a wonderful unit we had with an adjoining suit for my elderly mother. There were even gorgeous handmade chocolates for us. Clean and spacious, ocean views and like having a whole house to enjoy. Nice touches like a coffee machine. Super comfy beds and just an overall delight. Washing machine and dryer in a separate...

Thank you for your lovely review. The sun is shining in Port Macquarie today and the water is glistening and it is equally nice to read such nice comments. I do hope we will see you and your family back with us very soon.

This is one of the most comfortable and luxurious places that i have stayed. The beds are the most comfortable and the beautiful ocean view apartment had the most amazing views, was very spacious and well equipped with a full size kitchen and there was also laundry facilities on our floor. I look forward to staying here again. The beach...

We recently travelled a couple of hours south to catch up with friends from Sydney at the Observatory. The view was great, secure undercover parking great restaurants and cafe on the ground floor and easy to walk to restaurants and the foreshore walking paths were beautiful.

Spent 2 nights exploring the region and the Observatory was our base. Lovely apartment and great self catering facilities, had we used them. We were too busy checking out the local restaurants being a short stroll into the main town. The highlight was using the hotel's bikes to explore further afield and get to the other side of the harbour...

First class all the way, loved the heated pool spa and sauna as well. The view over the beaches and ocean was great. The linen fresh and the bed very big and comfortable. The TV was wall mounted and Sony quality and it had air con but not required as the sea breeze was perfect. Walls not totally sound proofed...

Just stayed one night here. Managed to have a swim in the pool though. The room is very nice with a great bathroom. Our room had cutlery and a toaster provided which is great for breakfast. Would stay here again, great place to stay in Port Macquarie.

Absolutely fantastic views and very friendly staff - would recommend. Lots of space and a great balcony. Although Port Macquarie is a very quiet place, so if you are after adventure, this may not be the place for you.
