This is the third time we have stayed here. Just love this place. Super clean self contained cottage. The owners are too generous with supplying breakfast ingredients from cereal, eggs, bacon' tomatoes loaf of bread, litre of milk and orange juice. On the second day we were low on milk and this was happily topped up. What I especially love...

Had a great stay at Splinters. The 2 seperate bedrooms and bathrooms were great for 2 friends as we had our own space. Excellent breakfast left for us- so generous unlike other establishments we've stayed in. We had a litre of Milk, orange juice, a loaf of bread, a heap of eggs, bacon, and cupboard full of different cereals. Had...

Just spent 4 nights in one of the self contained cottages and couldn't be happier with our choice. The cottage was beautiful with every possible need thought of and surpassed. In addition to the fresh produce etc. for our breakfast there was a cheese platter & bottle of wine plus port & chocolates for us to enjoy. Our hosts were...

Just came back from the Hunter Valley with a friend after a 4 night stay at Splinters. The hosts Pup & Mark are lovely, making you feel so welcome & couldn't do enough for you. I agree with all the other reviews, the extras like the cheese platter on arrival, chocolates, port, wine, fridge full of great breakfast items, extra...

Up to Pokolbin for Opera in the Vineyards and about 18 months since our last visit, Splinters is not just excellent still, but probably better than last time. Yet the owners, Pup and Mark, continue their pursuit of excellence in standards and service, and with new cottages on the horizon. Nothing is too much trouble, recommending great restaurants and places...

We'd endorse all the other reviews. Gratious hosts, delightful accommodation and lots of excellent extras such as wine and cheese on arrival, a fridge full of breakfast items and even port and chocolates! We'll return and so should you. It may not be the cheapest but it surely is the best.

Spent a weekend in a beautiful cottage wth my mum. We arrived on Friday night and Mark had left the lights on so we didn't arrive to darkness. There was a bottle of wine and a cheese plate in the fridge to greet us which I thought was a really lovely gesture. The cottage was also stocked with cereals, bread,...

Stayed in the upper cottage fri and sat night. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay. We stayed in September, the nights still cool so the fireplace was fun, there is also reverse cycle air conditioning. Two fabulous bedrooms we stayed in the loft which had a great picture window through which we saw kangaroos on the...

We have stayed at Splinters before ....in the b&b rooms. The new owners are now moving to utilising the cottages only; more to be built in the future, I believe. So this is the first time we stayed in a cottage ... Pup pointed out all the facilities, plus there is a private bbq area overlooking the grounds ... even...

My husband, aunt and I stayed in the cottage for only one night. The loft room was huge and lovely, the living room, dining room, and outdoor dining room were fantastic. The eggs, OJ, bacon, milk, toast, jam, coffee and tea were greatly appreciated and we had lovely, lovely stay. I got to take a quick, refreshing dip in the...
