This is a lovely place at the edge of a vineyard. Centrally located, really you could do your own wine tour just by walking around the local wineries. The room itself was lovely and very clean. Staff were most helpful, happy and friendly. We also enjoyed the breakfast basket which included some of the best croissants ever. Had to mark...

We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the estate and your room, the friendly service, and the breakfast (especially the fresh croissants from the village bakery), but naturally very sorry to hear you were disturbed by the sound of microbats during your evening. You are right; they are a rare and protected species in NSW who are temporarily sharing a small...

Hidden about a kilometer off Broke Road, this little gem of a hotel nestles in a beautiful cul-de-sac of trees which add to the illusion of staying at a french country farmhouse. There was 6 rooms on the veranda and we were not aware of anyone else being there due to the very thick brick walls. The room was huge...

A secluded yet central location in the heart of Pokolbin. The staff were extremely attentive, booking a balloon flight, restaurant and bike hire for us in advance. Bikes were delivered to our door. We stayed in the Gable room which was large but still very cosy with the open fire on a winter's night. A good breakfast basket that topped...

A lovely peaceful getaway. The setting is secluded and private, it felt like there were no other guests staying there. Nick and Rebecca are very welcoming and happy to help with dinner and tour reservations. The rooms are clean and spacious, with an open fireplace a bonus during the cold winter months. Being an old building with thick walls, there...

Loved the location in the heart of Polkolbin. Near some excellent restaurants and close to great wine-tasting venues. Open fire in room was a lovely experience in winter. Plenty of wood available. Great value for money, felt special.

My husband and I really enjoyed our Winter escape to the Carriages in what is a secluded location. It is a beautiful Hotel with a lot of warmth and charm. We were upgraded for some reason and enjoyed our stay in one of the rooms on the second floor. We had a lovely fire and enjoyed receiving our breakfast each...

The room was lovely with the open fire place. Unfortunately we did not get to use all the facilities due to weather that weekend. No phone reception or Wifi in the rooms. Breakfast basket was ok. People were lovely. Be nice if there was a restaurant or room service options available.

My partner and here decided to stay with carriages for a weekend away and we were not let down. The customer service was brilliant! The morning of the day we were due we were sent a lovely message advising us of weather conditions and it was a really nice touch. Upon arrival we were greeted with wine and lovely service....

This was our first visit at Carriages. We had come for a mini-honeymoon and they made us feel so welcome. On arrival we were greeted by their lovely Border collie, Wellington Boots! We were treated to a great little wine tasting of their wines as we checked in, our favorite was the old world style rose (it was by far...

Lovely boutique b&b for a cozy weekend away in the Hunter Valley. Very accommodating staff who kindly arranged our wine tour and dinner restaurants bookings. The Rose from this vineyard is a must try. Breakfast served in a cute basket left at the door each morning. Only criticism is, shower could have been better for this price.
