What a unique and fantastic place to stay. We stopped for one night in this blissful place, with a lovely welcome, a fantastic location, a beautifully decorated room and breakfast delivered to your door in a basket. We were woken by the sound of a Hot Air Balloon going over the building, which was absolutely magical and kind of summed...

Two friends and I stayed for a few nights in the gable suite and it was absolutely perfect. Gorgeous setting, beautiful and award winning wines, warm and accommodating hosts and we desperately didn't want to leave. Affordable luxury in one of Australia's most beautiful locations; we felt very cared for and will be recommending this place to family and friends.

If you grew up in the hunter country or any quiet country then Carriages will not disappoint in taking you back. Rooms are comfortable country elegance and a little eclectic. Lots of little tracks through the bush, wind in the trees, pine needles covering the ground, lovely little gardens and a gorgeous verandah. Continental breakfast included in the tariff was...

Carriages is beautifully located at the end of a no-through road so is very private. We stayed in one of the 2 Gable suites which has own balcony and is very private. We wanted a Spa Gatehouse room but they were both booked. You can really relax here and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast is continental-style delivered to your door...

Beautiful, tranquil, perfect for a weekend escape. Lovely fresh breakfast basket delivered each morning and staff couldnt be more helpful. Relax on the verandah or out the back near the rose garden. In the heart of wine country.

This is a lovely place at the edge of a vineyard. Centrally located, really you could do your own wine tour just by walking around the local wineries. The room itself was lovely and very clean. Staff were most helpful, happy and friendly. We also enjoyed the breakfast basket which included some of the best croissants ever. Had to mark...

We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the estate and your room, the friendly service, and the breakfast (especially the fresh croissants from the village bakery), but naturally very sorry to hear you were disturbed by the sound of microbats during your evening. You are right; they are a rare and protected species in NSW who are temporarily sharing a small...

Hidden about a kilometer off Broke Road, this little gem of a hotel nestles in a beautiful cul-de-sac of trees which add to the illusion of staying at a french country farmhouse. There was 6 rooms on the veranda and we were not aware of anyone else being there due to the very thick brick walls. The room was huge...

A secluded yet central location in the heart of Pokolbin. The staff were extremely attentive, booking a balloon flight, restaurant and bike hire for us in advance. Bikes were delivered to our door. We stayed in the Gable room which was large but still very cosy with the open fire on a winter's night. A good breakfast basket that topped...

A lovely peaceful getaway. The setting is secluded and private, it felt like there were no other guests staying there. Nick and Rebecca are very welcoming and happy to help with dinner and tour reservations. The rooms are clean and spacious, with an open fireplace a bonus during the cold winter months. Being an old building with thick walls, there...

Loved the location in the heart of Polkolbin. Near some excellent restaurants and close to great wine-tasting venues. Open fire in room was a lovely experience in winter. Plenty of wood available. Great value for money, felt special.
