Rooms are a little tired and smell very old/damp. Lovely location and views out of the vineyard room. Walking track on the property which is a nice walk. For $210 a night I think it was a little over priced. I have stayed at Cypress lakes previously at a similar price and much better quality.

We stayed for just one night in the spa cottages, but what a lovely experience! Beautiful views of the vineyards, with the hot air balloons in the sky when you wake up. A bit of a disinfectant smell when we first came in, but that meant it was clean. Nice rustic wood furniture and cute little kitchenette. Jacuzzi tub was...

I had read previous reviews of this hotel/motel and thought them harsh however I agree totally. We stayed for three nights .four days .No staff appeared near our room .Beds not made ,bathroom not cleaned .bins not emptied. The compendium did state to toss towel in bath if we wanted replacement .I'm glad I didn't .It would have stayed there for the...

It seems your travel agent sold you a 3 night “5 star Luxury Hunter Escape”. They did negotiate a value deal with us, which included NO servicing of the room. However, we did advise on checkin if you needed new towels etc, just to ask and we would provide these. We are sorry we did not meet the “5 star...

We decided to stay here at the last minute. We booked a Hunter room for 3 guests (one queen and 2 singles) and it was a large, warm room (weather was quite chilly). Beds are comfortable and the paved area off the back of the unit was nice for an afternoon of wine and cheese. We were in room 210...

We took a three night package deal and were so disappointed. It is rated as 4 star, don't know where they got that from, it was almost laughable. Rooms are in desperate need of a refurbish. If we had paid full advertised price I would have demanded my money back. Only good point was bed was comfy and nice view/location....

We went to this hotel in the Hunter Valley because we had won a free night's accommodation including breakfast, wine tour & wine theatre. We arrived in the dark about 1830h after a long day. We found our room - it is not in a hotel but similar to a cabin but joined to others. The first thing that stuck...

This place is well located and has very comfy beds. It is definitely showing its age, and on our three night stay our room wasn't made / cleaned once; not sure if that is standard but it seemed odd. It was a little noisy but we slept very well, and the on site Segway rides were brilliant.

We stayed here recently for a work conference. Rooms were clean, very rural feel. Food served at breakfast was great. Lunch and dinner not quite up to par for me, but for someone who usually travels five star - it's all relative. Good, cheap family accommodation.

We spent 3 nights here in March. It's a bit different from the chain hotels around the valley. The rooms are in cabins in the grounds- it has a lovely rural feel. The restaurant is excellent, the bar is great fun with a selection of good beers as well as the wine, and the desserts were delicious. Nice outdoor dining...
