My family and I stayed here for one night in March. Overall we had a good stay (lovely and friendly reception including cupcakes, Spacious rooms etc) but there are some definite areas for improvement. Would recommend having screens on the windows (so you can have the windows open without worrying about sandfly bites). Would also recommend clearly indicating reception hours...

Firstly thank you for taking the time to give us a great review on our motel for only staying one night at our Motel and this is the thing with people staying only one night they have no idea on the town or the place to get bitten by a sandly at our Motel in you room would be very...

Stayed here two nights as a stopping point for our adventure over to Milford Sound. This is a great little location for exploring the town of Te Anau and as a jumping point for Milford Sound. The rooms were a little bit out dated, but the beds were comfy. We had no hot water in our shower so it was...

Thank you for you review some time when reading a review you wonder why guests write things days later rather than telling us at the time while staying -No Hot Water I don’t believe this to be true otherwise everyone whom was in the other rooms would also not have hot water due to being on one boiler system so...

Te Anau is a very handy (not to mention scenic) location for a large number of outdoor attractions around Otago. For example it is 2 hours closer to Milford sound than Queenstown. I based myself here for 7 days while doing the Routeburn track and Doubtful sound, while also checking out local attractions such as the glow-worm caves. Aden Motel...

It’s great to read a review from someone whom had really enjoyed Te Anau and you stayed 7 days and kept yourself very busy as the majority of guest are just one night stop overs on the way to Milford Sound and have not bothered to researched Te Anau at all to see that you can do so much more...

From the moment we checked in and Irene greeted us warmly (and with cupcakes), we felt at home. Aden Motel is a small but generously appointed motel in Te Anau. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. It was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bathroom was updated and the kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. Irene was so helpful,...

I visited Te Anau as I was walking the Milford Track and needed somewhere to stay the night before and night after. This motel was absolutely perfect. Irene, the owner could not have been more helpful. She provided us with cupcakes and milk then showed us to our room. The room itself was spacious and well equipped with all the...

Whiile the motel might fall into the category of mid-range, the level of service is five-star! We did a Doubtful Sound overnight cruise from the Aden, and not only did they agree to store our extra baggage, the manager Mary offered to move the luggage from our room after we left on the cruise, including all the food in our...

From first impressions (delicious mini-chocolate cupcakes awaiting us on arrival) we knew that these people were prepared to go the extra mile! The motel was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with excellent amenities, and impressive environmental practices - and it was an easy walk into the town centre. We were leaving the next day on a guided walk, and the company...

Our 9th accommodation during our 2 month NZ road trip. We stayed here for 4 nights in a one-bedroom unit in early-Dec. There are two rows of units - one faces the garden (mostly Studio) while the other is in the same stretch as the reception. Ours was located in the latter. Our room somehow felt really comfy - there's...

Clean, spacious, nicely furnished, great management people looking after you this motel is recommended. The Kitchen has a oven so you can do pizza or whatever. Fully equipped too. Showers hot. Heater works. Blinds curtains nicely block out the light for a nice sleep in.

Im so pleased you liked our Motel for your stay in Te Anau and yes you are correct a Pizza cooked in an oven is so much better tasting than one cooked in a microwave plus often people like to cook meat like lamb chops etc in the ovens while they stay with is why we still have electric ranges...

We stayed at the Aden Motel recently, 30 years after we first stayed there! Of course much has changed. The rooms/units have new bathrooms, bedrooms, TVs, fast internet and all-in-all a really excellent experience. The hosts are lovely. The motel is quiet, well away from any noises, and there is a pleasant 10 min walk into town. Recommended unreservedly.
