There are a lot of nice features in this hostel including good storage drawers, plugs for charging devices, and individual lights. The room was pretty tight and it was hard to move around if another person was there. It could also be difficult to find an open washroom. The hostel is in easy walking distance of the sights in Queenstown.

I can't rate this place enough. It's Fantastic. Everything is immaculate. All the shared bathrooms are kept very clean and tidy with clean towels ready to use whenever. The dorms are also kept very clean. I'm tall 6'4" but the bed setup was perfect as they have some room at the end of the bed for your feet to stick...

So first things first when you get there make sure you get there at 2 or after 2 otherwise you'll be waiting until 2 exactly. The room is great, I have the 4 person one, and lucked out having 2 great roommates. The storage is massive. I have a 70 liter osprey pack and a big backpack, both of which...

No major complains on my 4 days stay. But in comparison to YHA Wanaka and Mt Cook, I would rate this much lower. Kitchens are small and could only use for light cooking. There is no proper frying pans, those available are non stick pans which are already badly deformed and scratched which is pretty toxic to cook on.You will...

As a thirty-something traveller in New Zealand, choosing budget accommodation can often be challenging! I've stayed in a variety of accommodation, from really nice hotels, to budget hostel dorm rooms. My preference is usually a private room in a hostel which pretty much ensures me a good night's sleep, at a relatively low cost, with the added benefit of being...

I stayed two nights in a dorm during a haka tour. I stayed in a 6 beds room which was very, very tiny, barely any space to move. Besides this point everything was good and clean, beds are comfortable and with curtains, so you can enjoy some privacy.

Hi there - thank you for reviewing us! Glad that you found everything to be clean & comfortable. Hopefully everybody in your room made use of the huge storage lockers underneath the bunk beds so you had enough space in your room? Also hope you enjoyed your Haka Tour & the rest of your time in New Zealand :)

He was so kind, and the drawer under the bed was convenient. Even though the room is a little bit small, the veranda's antique style small tea table and a small chair made perfect place for thinking about myself. Also, there's two kitchen room so I can freely use it! I definitely recommend this lodge to every young backpackers.

Excellent hostel, bunks each have an idividual light and plug socket and a curtain to provide privacy. Great location only a very short walk to the centre and Ferg burger (the wait is worth it). Nice shower area, very clean.
