When we arrived late on a Saturday evening looking for a room we came across this hotel on Google. The exterior did not inspire but once we made contact with somebody (had to ring the number as there wasn't a reception that we could see) we were greeted by lovely service and a huge room that is very close to...

This hotel has a great quiet location, short walk into the centre and huge clean comfy rooms. The real prize of this place however is Ailey (and not just for her fab omelettes!) she genuinely wants to help make your NZ adventure the best it can be. She doesn't push any one agenda but listens to your plan and then...

I loved the Central Ridge Hotel even before I arrived. I emailed the owner with questions which she graciously answered. When I thanked her for her advice she responded that I will arrive as a guest but leave as a friend and she was right. The hotel is a very short and pleasant walk to the center of town. My...

What a fantastic weekend. The Proprieter is extrodinarily knowledgeable about the area. If she makes a recommendation carefully consider it. We found her remarkable. She made several suggestions of activities and they were always spot on. Breakfast and Canapes were outstanding and the message is not to be missed. The lounge downstairs was amazing, next time we will spend more...

Similar to other reviewers experiences, no one was really around when we showed up. The host did not speak english very well and it was hard to communicate.
