very disappointing. chaos. not clean. and I've been in dozens of BBH from Auckland to Invercargill, this is the only one that you need to pay extra for the linen. and I was not informed about any extra charge until checkout.

Great hostel with amazing views over Queenstown. Good common area with quality wifi. Decent kitchen facilities and plenty of food storage, bathroom's are cleaned daily by a professional cleaning company. Chris who runs the show is a top bloke and is always very helpful.

I think what makes this place feel so crowded is the amount of long-termers living there. The room we were in was so full of stuff belonging to the long term stayers that we had to leave our bags in the car for lack of space. The bathrooms had plenty of space, but you couldn't move in the kitchen without...

Really lovely hostel with nice kitchen. You had 5 mins into the cbd. But a good view on the lake cause it is on top of a little hill. I meet some really nice people there. Was always good company. And a good point to start from... Loved to stay there.

Our initial arrival at Deco Backpackers seemed positive, with the woman who greeted us being very friendly (and even offering us ice lollies) even though we were checking in late. However this initial positive impression of Deco was swiftly revoked after an hour or two of arrival. The toilets had an extremely strong smell of urine for the duration of...

We stayed in this hostel in a affordable double room. The owner is super nice and friendly and the whole hostel is nice and clean. very good kitchen! We really enjoyed our stay. It is a five minutes walk to the queenstown centre, and it is nice and quiet at night. Highly recommendable!

Booked & stayed two nights here during unseasonably hot weather. We'd been assigned the separate house which has 3 double bedrooms, bathroom, toilet & its own courtyard & garden. When I booked, Tony has explained they try to keep this area for couples & more mature guest (like me) We had the beautiful room looking over the garden which has...

On the first of december 2015 I came to Deco`s. Before I did so I travelled the northern island. I intended to stay a week in Queenstown. But Deco`s changed my mind. I had already booked my flight back to Germany on the 9th of december. But I cancelled it. Chris, the manager, is a really friendly guy, who is...

Good location, just a few minutes away from the city centre. Nice common area and outdoor area. Unfortunately it a bit old and not very clean - neither the room nor the bathrooms. Men's toilets doors didn't lock and there was mould on the wooden benches in the showers. Smelly carpet. Internet working only in the common area (indoor). Quite...

Saw a couple of bad reviews in the past, but I actually found this place to be quite good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They went to great effort to rectify a mix-up with the booking. Very basic rooms, as you would expect at a backpacker hostel. But clean and reasonably good facilities. Decent shelving/storage in the rooms, free...
