Stayed here a few years ago, and the accommodation, service and views were outstanding. The couple that maintain and run the property are lovely, accommodating and very helpful. Short walk (10-15 mins) to the centre of town.

We had such a lovely experience staying at this little B'n'B. Merlin was a caring host who balanced the need to be there to give good tips on the local area but not be too present. The front room had a view that was absolutely incredible - we looked across to The Remarkables and were in awe as they changed...

We were not prepared for the amazing views from our room which looked out across the lake and onto The Remarkables. Ray and Merlin were wonderful hosts and were very helpful. We feel like we made new friends and will certainly return there one day. Merlin cooked up the yummiest breakfasts every morning which you chose the night before. Also...

Great house, terrific hosts, incredible views from the room (with large ensuite) and the common room. And the most magnificent cooked breakfast I ever had in a B&B. Just 2 mnutes from the centre by car in a quiet and nice place. Definitely recommended.

Never having been to Queenstown nor stayed in a B&B we were a little apprehensive, but needn't have worried, what a delightful place to stay! From the poodles to the views, to the food and hospitality, it was wonderful. After an eventful day exploring Queenstown on foot as it was only a 20 minute walk from 5 Star Lane, we...

Exploring New Zealand can be a very hectic rush-rush, move-move experience, but 5 Star Lane is a perfect place to take a break, kick back and process what you've seen and what's next.

The view of the Remarkables from 5 Star Lane's balcony and bedrooms is enough to recommend it as a top place for lodging in Queenstown. The hospitality...

Loved the panoramic view of Lake Wakatipu and snow-dusted mountain ranges from our room which gave onto 5 Star Lane's wide veranda. We enjoyed just sitting on the veranda with a cuppa tea or glass of sherry drinking in the view. Bedroom was large & warm, bathroom too, with strong water pressure, bathrobes & toiletries provided. The house was not...

Hosts Merlin and Ray were as warm and welcoming as their lovely home when we stayed here in September 2011. The views were quite spectacular. Every comfort and every amenity had been thought of down to the lovely toiletries and any personal preference requested. The food was delicious, wholesome and the choice amazing. Merlin and Ray were very knowledgeable and...
