We were very happy with our stay in Amber Lodge. We had a four-sleeper room next to reception, which also had a reasonably well-equipped kitchenette. There were plenty of spare blankets which came in handy during the cold nights. The parking in front of the room was also convenient. The gondola is an easy walk, and we found the lodge...

To start, Queenstown is very beautiful. We were greeted at the lodge by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. The location was great and we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go in town and to the lake. The rooms were clean and had everything you would need for a short stay. The only thing I...

Our 2nd floor room had a lovely view of town, comfortable beds, perfect little kitchen and was walkable to all the restaurants, shopping and sites you could need. Wifi, free parking and wonderful, caring people running the place. Would love to go back!

Perfect Queenstown motor lodge - great location, comfortable beds, knowledgeable and kind owners, amazing view of the town and mountains. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! Highly recommend the amber lodge. Had good wifi, laundry facilities, off street parking, was quiet.

The lodge is located about 70m from the Alpine Supermarket and just a stroll to all the other shops in town. So fantastic just to leave the car there and walk absolutely everywhere especially for dinner etc. The location is absolutely bang-on. The lodge has a modest, older decorating style but is clean. The managers are very friendly and helpful....

Good price for Queenstown and being a few minutes' walk from the centre is was close enough without being noisy. Room was a little dated but then most places are compared to the UK. We had a ground floor room with a parking space right outside so that was good. Some of the staff were helpful while others were less...

Arrived here did not expect the Hilton but was clean and very adequate. Couldn't hear much from town given how close it was. Had room near the front and could hear everyone moving upstairs but that's about all. Location was great just above shotover street and close to four square market in town Centre. I would stay again. 1gb wifi...

(Please note that this review is based on my stay in Feb 2014.) After a night in the noisy hostel in town, I had to find another place. Without any reservations, I was fortunate to find this place. It's a bit dated, but it's clean and quiet, which is exactly what I needed. There were too many activities and restaurants...

If you want a reasonably priced motel room in a relatively quiet position within 5 minutes stroll of just about all Central Queenstown attractions this accommodation should fit the bill. No secluded balconies or stunning lake views but we didn't expect these facilities for the price. Peak season when we visited but no disturbed sleep despite being only 400m from...

The location is very good, everything is in walking distance. The room was a good size and the kitchen was big enough. Downside: our room was room 9 and there was a stair just next to our window which the other guests used to get up their room and everybody could look through our window (and everybody did because that's...
