Very clean and well appointed unit , may have recently been refurbished to a high standard . Wanted for nothing . Close to town centre , walking distance to all the shops and entertainment . Well priced for the location . Would definitely return for another stay .

Greeted by a very friendly manager at reception who allowed us to check in early. Straight away both my partner and I had a great feeling about the place. Although it may not look like a 5 star motel - the service was 100%! Our room was clean, well presented and the bed was comfy (a must for me!). Wifi... More

The staff is nice, which helps balance the worn-in look this motel has. Not all the windows close completely, and some of the lights sometimes flicker off whenever they fancy. The kitchen countertops are bowing from water damage. Our group of four was given a single wifi code that allots 1GB every 24 hours: this seemed a bit stingy. But... More

This is our second time round there and we can still thoroughly recommend. We had a 1 bedroom apartment for the 2 of us although we could have slept 4 there, making it ideal for families, with a small kitchen with a stove top, microwave & plenty of equipment & crockery for 4 people. Scrupulously clean, plenty of bedding and... More

We had five nights here. The room was comfortable and clean. The kitchen had good facilities if you wanted to cook your own meals. I found the owner welcoming and helpful and the location was excellent.

the location and price is fantastic and why we booked this hotel. The owners are very helpful and accommodating! allowing us to leave our baggage with them after check out due to late flight. only thing that was slightly irritating is the large heater in the room didn't work overly well. Luckily there was a small heater in the room... More

When looking for a place to stay, I looked for good price and good location. This had both. The owners were both so helpful. They ensured that I was settled in OK. They were really helpful with any issues and helped out with any directions when required to get around. The room was a little bit dated, which is the... More

Amber Lodge is economical & located in a fantastic spot for a quick walk into the center of Queenstown without climbing hills. The rooms are clean & warm. The staff are also incredibly friendly & helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Amber Lodge.

We were welcomed by a friendly staff member and shown to our room. The room felt like it had recently had a fresh coat of paint and was clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we required including a slow cooker, microwave & cook top. Tea/coffee/sugar were replenished daily . The beds were very comfortable and even though we... More

If you’re looking for a clean and well-equipped budget accommodation located in central Queenstown, this is the answer. Amber Lodge is a small motel owned by Alan and Sue. First, it’s only a couple of walk to the city central a.k.a Shotover Street. Second, the room is quite spacious and clean, equipped with fast wifi, room heater and heated blanket,... More
