Stopped for some liquid refreshment while out on a run on the Harley. Hadn't been here for a while so we were very surprised to see the difference in the old pub. New owners have spruced it up very nicely. They offer an extensive low cost snack menu. We had the mixed basket with fries $10 and it was great,...

My wife and I along with our 2year old daughter stayed here while doing the Rail Trail. It's a great wee pub with a cosy atmosphere. The food was great and the price reasonable. We were collected and dropped back into Hyde. We have no problem recommending Stanley's for a nights stay.

The food is absolutely amazing, Try the Steak sandwich!!! Rooms are modern and refurbished. A great place to stay close to the Central Otago Rail Trail. Child friendly and the beer is always cold. Always insist on stopping here for lunch if passing through and sometimes go out of my way.

The 4 of us had a ball! Great people, food and accommodation. Owner even picked us up early because we were cold, wet and hungry and would of had to wait another 3 hours. This is how a country pub should be.

We stayed at Stanley's Hotel while we were biking the Central Otago Rail Trail. Stanley's is a classic old Otago hotel. Annie picked us up and drove us from Hyde to Macrae's Flat and gave us a great run down on the area & we were dropped back off to our bikes the next morning. The hospitality was great &...

If you want a quiet comfortable place to stay with great food and service and friendly staff then look no further. Annie and Claire are a good team, they have spent time upgrading the hotel and provide an excellent service to travelers and miners from local gold mine, a delightful place to stay.

Fantastic place to stay. A great NZ counry pub, incredibly friendly, clean and very well priced. Had a wonderful evening on the way to Dunedin. The publicans, mother and daughter, are a treat. We had a fun filled evening. Excellent evening meal and a huge breakfast. Well worth a visit and stay the night, clean and tidy rooms.

8 of us stayed the night while cycling the Central Otago Rail Trail. Annie, our host, collected us from Hyde and gave us a tour to the mine site on the way to the hotel. Claire cooked us a delicious meal and we thoroughly enjoyed the friendly rural atmosphere. The beds were cosy and comfortable. I hope we get a...
