We spent 2 nights, not consecutive, at Merivale Manor. It was delightful! The rooms were tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Everything we wanted and needed was there. The owners welcomed us like we were old friends. They showed us to our room and made sure...More
This truly beautiful colonial-style villa with lovely rooms is your best option to stay in town. Perfectly located, close to the airport and in the residential Merivale neighborhood, you will avoid the construction sites and traffic of downtown Christchurch, while still being at 5-minute drive...More
Merivale Manor was absolutely perfect for our 2 day visit to Christchurch. Easy to find driving from the North and although near a main road, our unit was extremely quiet. It was also a short 20 minute walk into town. Short drive to airport too...More
My wife and I had stayed at the Merivale Manor for 2 nights in March 2018 as part of a 24 day self drive tour of the north and south islands. We have had the chance to stay at several places along the way, and...More

We would like to thank all our wonderful guests who have been so kind with their reviews and appreciation of the Manor over these months and years. Your great experiences are what matters most to us, all we attempt to do is create an environment...More
We had two short stays in quick succession and so were able to sample the delights of two different rooms within the manor house. Both were extraordinarily comfortable, beautifully furnished and provided everything that we needed. Lots of style but with all modern conveniences.

Hi there,
Every room at the Manor has a small fridge as explained by our other guests. If you require freezer space specifically, we can provide that for you - but this won't be in your actual room. The Merivale Apartments however, have a full size fridge/freezer - if you were looking for more space for up to six people.

Hello, We supply a light continental starter for breakfast which includes bread for the toaster in your room (spreads in your fridge). There are small boxes of cereal in your room and we supply fresh milk daily at reception for that and your tea and coffee (also in your room) The bread has aGF variety as well as brown and white. Yes. However it is essentially continental and consisted of some very good homestyle bread for toast, butter, jam and coffee and milk. I am not sure but there may have been some fruit. The coffee was powdered with a counter electric water boiler and fresh whole milk. We were there only briefly because of the travel problems we encountered (6 hours sleep after 37 hours of travel) so it is a little bit of a blur. I definitely remember the bread being homestyle with lots of grains and delicious. The place it self is excellent. Good luck.
