Can't think of a single negative - except perhaps that because Holly Manor is such a pleasure to stay in, it is difficult to get a booking! Lovely character house, pleasant service, nice breakfast, comfortable beds, attractive and relaxing gardens and verandah, nice sitting room for guests to use, excellent value. There is no offstreet parking, which may be an...

The B&B is charming and full of character, situated on the edge on Christchurch city and survived the EQ. I instantly fell in love with this place. Rooms were very clean and each had it’s own personal touch. We stayed in both the Victorian room (which is slightly small) and the Tudor room (which is bigger with private access through...

We were scheduled to arrive well after midnight on our flight from Australia and were afraid that we would have to settle for a bland airport motel. Holly Manor is a charming and beautifully restored Victorian home and our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating. The Victorian room was perfect for our short stay with comfortable bed, clean ensuite bathroom...

My wife and I visited Christchurch and stayed 2 nights in the Elizabethan room, a large luxurious room with a queen bed, a bay window looking out to the garden, and an adjoining bath with tub & shower. There were complimentary cookies waiting for us when we arrived. The house has a porch with chairs looking out on a pleasant,...

My wife and I are doing a ten day road trip around the South Island, and this was the first place we stayed. What a great welcome to New Zealand! We stayed in the Elisabethan Room which looks onto a beautiful garden. The room was very cosy wnd comfortable - and quite large too. The hot breakfast, served in the...

Try for the Tudor room with door to the beautiful back garden. Our host was very charming and helpful and cooked breakfast right on the time it was ordered. Christchurch is rebuilding and these are exciting times to be visiting.

We stayed in the Tudor room, it was beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and light with a lovely view of Kelly's (the owner) well tended and very pretty garden. Scrummy full English breakfast. Would most definitely stay here again.

My partner and I did a road trip of the South Island and did two nights in Christchurch. We stayed in the Elizabethan Room and it was absolutely charming. It was very cosy, the colour scheme was delightful and the hosts were very welcoming. The breakfast was feast. It's located not far from the city centre but with all the...

We found the hostess charming and helpful. Facilities were clean, spacious and well appointed for a bed and breakfast operation. The downsides were no off street parking, and the front door lock needs replacing to ensure reliable entry late at night. We are frequent travelers generally using 4 star and above accommodation and would be happy to stay here again.

My partner and I stayed here for one night in mid July. A beautiful quiet bed and breakfast with a very homely feel and look. It was a great start to our trip when we woke up the next morning to a home cooked breakfast around a shared dining table. Would definitely stay here again!
