Really perfect location to everything. The room was spacious, quiet and had a good aspect across Hereford street. The staff were really helpful, which was much appreciated. Two eateries on site with excellent service and good food.

Usually stay at YHA but tried this because there was a private room and I think ensuite- I find the private room necessary as a solo senior traveler. Found reception very friendly and helpful and I was happy to find a restaurant on site for my first night. It had been a very long day and walking to the YMCA...

Very nice hostel. Turned up with girlfriend and two other friends, the receptionist bumped us up to a 'family' room with 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed which was great. Had it's own bathroom ensuite, little TV, small fridge with free tea/coffee/sugar and kettle and even electric blankets on the bed. We were all so appreciative of this!! Kitchen...

I stayed here thanks to a girl .. if you know what I mean, and it's a lovely hotel! However the beds do need a good oil as the squeaking did wake up some of the fellow hostel stayers (apologies to all)! But the bathrooms are something out of a dream of your traveler.. huge mirror and really nice design!...

Myself and my partner are absolutely appalled by the customer service we received during our stay here a few days ago. We asked for directions to the local super market at 21:00 so we could cook something to eat. We had been up for over 24 hours on long flights and we explained this to Thiago who was on night...

We stayed here for one night as a stop over and it provided what we needed, a comfy bed with clean showers. The rooms weren't very big there wasn't much storage space or room on the floor, this didn't matter as we were only sleeping here then off to kaikoura.

Room was pretty good no noise etc. Mould around the shower/bath was a bit poor. Was told by the friendly receptionist I could leave my van till around lunchtime after I had already stayed 2 nights. Manager (assuming she was) confronted me around lunchtime trying to catch me out and I said I had asked. Could tell she didn't believe...

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We will certainly follow up with housekeeping re the bathrooms - we have recently started upgrading our facilities and are working our way through floor by floor, but agree that is not an excuse for mould. In terms of the our manager who spoke to you in regards...

I was recommended the YMCA by a friend who has used this accommodation on several trips to N.Z. Excellent central location. Near to bus stops/pick up points for onward travel, such as Queenstown, and visitor information centre. Several eateries nearby though there are facilities within the YMCA complex. The evening that we arrived we enjoyed a 'stand up' comedy night...

We were very happy with the accommodation in this hostel. We had an en-suite double room that overlooked the botanical gardens. It was a good location and close to the centre. The botanical gardens are very good. Next door is a restaurant called Duo which was worth a visit. We also tried an Irish bar called The Bog, which does...

Situated next to the Christchurch Botanical Garden/Hagley Park, this hostel/motel offers a truly unique experience. Room 220 is a corner room overlooking the cathedral and offers partial view of Hagley Park. It is opposite to the Christchurch i-SITE Visitor Information Centre, located at 28 Worcester Blvd. There's a cafe (Robert Harris) onsite but closes at 5 pm. Not much eatery...
